My dad is completely snowbound and can’t golf.  So I offered to see if there’s any interest in another round of alt.fashion t-shirts.

I wasn’t feeling up to this for a long time, since last time these were offered (around November/December 2002), there was kind of an uproar.  But I’m over it.  If there’s enough interest, we’ll get the ball rolling.

I could go for something frivolous like a pink tank top, a wifebeater or
something summery.

I used to have a PR/Event production firm and did the "Dance of the T-
Shirts" on several occasions, and am familiar with the hassle factor you
describe. My recomendations:

1) Don't do it by committee. If you're the one
designing/printing/shipping the shirts, you make the decisions.

2) Require pre-paid orders, and then print 25-50% over the number of
orders you have in hand.

3) Remember that you don't have to please everyone. You just have to
please the people who actually order shorts. The other people can make
their own shirts.

And while I'd love to have an AF t-shirt, I'm afraid the guys on the farm
just wouldn't understand. I might be interested in AF boxers, though.

Maybe you could come up with a ag version that says, "What are *you*
spraying on the weeds today?" Preferably in tasteful John Deere green
and yellow (Agco and CNH color schemes available on request).

In circles where they don't want to use the term "wifebeater," this
style is also known as a "boyfriend tank."

In the past we've offered a practically limitless choice of colors, styles,
printing (front/back), even ink colors.

Please Google to see what's been offered in the past. It's certainly been
more than white, and each time there have been multiple styles (long sleeve,
short sleeve, shorts, tanks, baby tees, etc.).

In the meantime I'll keep checking this thread for ideas on what styles are
desired, and coordinate w/my pa.

I missed the AF T's last time, not missing them this time. I NEED
one. And it's something I could really use. I have been tempted
to go to the local t-shirt shop and have one or more made with
typical AF sayings on them:

What are "you" wearing today?

You can't beat a babka. (yes I know it's Elaine Benes but an AFer
had it in her sig)

She with the most lipsticks, wins
She with the most shoes, wins

If you can read this sentence: UD 411 in WWD. You're an AFer.

etc.

But I wanted an "official" one. :-)

So yes, I am interested if there will be plus size ones (20-24)
Damn these shoulders.

Yeah, your color choices are ... white, white, white or white.----Please
tell me what is so 'confusing' about that.

I thought you meant, "Yeah, Cafe Press would be good because with Jennifer's
your choices are white, white, white."

Just as long as Jennifer also makes the appropriate trunkie to go with
the hoodie. <grin/duck>

One time, Jennifer was debating doing it, and somebody else went and
"Just Did It" on CafePress.

I remember there was a stink that rivaled the fragrance in Pasadena
when one of the oil refineries isn't having a good day. One would have
thought that "alt.fashion" and "what are *you* wearing today?" were
trademarked or something.

Well, being a few months shy of 50, and light years beyond my tank
top-wearing days, I hope that a basic t-shirt would be offered as well.

As am I :-). One can never have too many AF t-shirts IMO.

Maybe with an "AF" monogram? Instead of one's own initials. Very chic.

I would go for a black tank with white lettering alt.fashion but that
is as flashy as I get. Probably the minority here. :)

I would be happy to help your father stave off boredome! I love the
two I already have: a white cami w/ silver lettering and a pale blue
w/ black lettering! Nice of you to offer again,
Jennifer!.......Laurie B.
