The image of the wedding itself belongs in a magazine - I took 5 rolls of
film. One shot which I hope was worth the trek was far far away looking
through trees at friends and family seated and Tracy & Bruce standing before
the minister (female in flowing white robe with purple and hot pink applique
down the front) in front of this fantastic mansion. The ceremony was
accompanied by guitar music and was very personal and moving. The groom in
Jewish tradition stamped on a wine glass (in satin pouch) and the minister
noted that on this joyful day, the broken glass was to remind us that there
was still sorrow in the world which would exist until all the pieces of
glass were again whole.
After the wedding private tours of the estate collection that include
original furnishings and Alfred Atmore Pope's magnificent collection of
Impressionist paintings. There was no less than 4 Monets, 4 Degas, Manet,
Whistler, 3 Cassatts all in original domestic setting. Truly
breathtaking..... even when hot and exhausted. One Monet is before his
Impressionist period- Two Boats at Harbour and 3 are in the same room - a
trilogy of light and points of peach and aqua. Speechless. Two of the
Degas are pastels including one of a nude bathing which has been classified
as his best pastel work. The reception included Bride & Groom Trolls
imported via the Internet from Troll Immigration and Naturalization Service
and a carrot wedding cake accented with green leaves and a Nurse and Doctor
Troll on the top. The trolls were made fashionably correct by the caterer
who noticed the "females" had no undies and she handmade silken panties for
them. That typifies the level of detail. And for guests Tracy had
sunflower candles from Yankee Candle that said Tracy and Bruce and
packettes of CSP. Truly an alt.fashion wedding to every detail and a
touching event for me who met Tracy here at alt.fashion. rjudith
will you be able to post photos of the wedding for us to see?

What Marilyn said! Thank you for the narrative of what sounds like a truly
storybook wedding, and I wish Tracy and her new husband lots of happiness.
:) Please put some pics on a website if she doesn't mind!

life without cats would be a catastrophe........
What modest Tracy hasn't said is that for now life continues with the
honeymoon being a grand tour of Europe in September. The newly weds start in
England go along the Rhine to Italy and other places and end in Paris (which
delights the bride so that she will not have to ship back or carry along her
great cosmetic and fragrance finds). rjudith
