My list, without the numbers unfortunately, but using your same (*) method for
favorites:
Stila big powder brush *
Stila concealer brush
Stila eyeliner brush *
MAC concealer/paint brush (puffier and denser than the Stila brush)
MAC angled liner brush
GB broad, flat shadow brush *
Nat Robbins shadow brush *
angled art supply brush for brows/liner
MAC travel brush kit: powder #129SE, fluffy shadow #224SE *, flat shadow #242SE
and angled liner #266SE brushes
TBS retractable lip brush
Trish retractable powder/blush brush
There are others, but they obviously can't matter that much to me!
The Stila powder brush was ~$50, but my other favorites were cheap - I think the
GB brush was $5, and the Nat Robbins brush, which I have had for probably 15
years, was maybe $2 and is still in marvelous shape.
I'm fanatic about keeping brushes clean because I *will* break out from even a
slightly dirty brush. I used to use a brush cleaner but now I just use whatever
shampoo I'm using for my hair.
I have had plenty of other brushes that I paid a great deal of money for that
were rough or fell apart, and I'm just hoping I can get another 10-15 years out
of my Nat Robbins brush before I have to try to find a decent replacement. It
was a fluke brush, I know - I've tried other NR brushes over the years and they
have consistently been garbage.
I have two concealer brushes because I had a Stila makeover and a MAC makeover
where they were used and I guess I liked how it felt...The MA used the MAC brush
to put paint on my eyelids but I just use my fingers. I do use the Stila one
more than the MAC.
The Stila liner (a tiny, pointed oval shape) is used wet with powder and the
angled brushes get used (usually) dry with powder. I use the big powder brushes
for both powder and blush.

This is really obscene. And there are probably more,
this is from memory. Hope rjudith and others of you

I can't remember numbers, but at home, I have:
- Big Trish McEvoy powder
- Garden Botanika shadow blending
- Sonia Kashuk large and medium eyeshadow
- Who's the Fairest concealer
- Trish foundation
- Sonia spoolie (for lashes)
- Sephora brow
- Trish push eyeliner
- Trish small smudge
- Benefit crease blender
- Several Sonia two-part lip brushes
- Shu fine eyeliner
- Paula's Select large shadow
- Revlon Pro crease (windshield wiper type)
- Sephora lash/brow comb
There are probably more, but I don't remember.
In addition, I have a set of brushes just for travel. They all have shorter
handles than my regular brushes. It's great to just grab the bag and go
when I'm packing. It's REALLY hard to remember what all is in there, but it
includes:
- Trish mini 20 ("bounce" brush?)
- Trish mini push eyeliner
- Trish mini 10 (wide shadow for a wash of color)
- Bobbi Brown travel size brow
- Bobbi Brown travel size smudge
- Garden Botanika eye shadow
- Some cheap lash/brow comb
- WTF crease (windshield wiper)
- More Sonia two-part lip brushes
Of course neither of these lists include the very nice brushes that I got
in my Bobbi Brown and MAC eyeshadow palettes, and BB lipstick palettes.

I have one brush for each job I need a brush for, and I like them all,

I have to be careful
* Sonia K e/s - med I think - love it
* mac 224 for crease
* mac 213 for small areas and lid
* mac 311 for lining
* art store 1/3 rg 160 ??? small, slant - works great for my brows
* art store synthetic #2, flat for concealer
* art store "spotter" - small for lining eyes
* art store #2 filbert - for lips
* rinsed/cleaned old mascara wands for brows and lashes
* GB blender
* GB shadow
I want to get a *fabulous* powder brush but ... I think I need to find

Versace powder brush
Shu angled blush brush ( 20H?)
Shu concealer brush - this may actually be a long handled lip brush, but it
works perfectly
Lancome skunk brush
Bobbi Brown eyebrow brush
PX cream eyeshadow brush
Trish push brush
Versace eyeshadow brush that comes to a point - no number on this, but it's
great
MAC slant & crease brushes
Several shu shadow brushes in various shapes - love them all
BB eyeliner brush
Mac lip brush
As usual, not terribly line loyal. Although if I had to pick one line for
brushes, it would be Shu because they see to last forever.

Sometimes I use the push brush for eyeliner, sometimes I use a lip brush, and
occasionally I rotate the ones I use for the 3 basics. The one brush that
received a lot of raves here about 2 years ago that I was disappointed in is
the Trish push brush for blush.
Linda
I fear that I have more brushes than in my old age I can count.....
I have all the Chanel brushes, all Versace, all Tony & Tina, all Bobbi
Brown, all Lancome including 3 skunks and all Sonia K - at least 3 sets.
Many MAC and Px (like their concealer and foundation brush), many Shu, Jeni
Lee, some Paula Dorf, Exclusively Jo Ann and a great foundation brush from
WTF and I am sure there are more. To me brushes are like undies and when I
am busy I do not wash them out every week - need at least a month's supply.
BTW I have had relatively bad luck with Trish brushes falling apart and have
not replaced them. rjudith
Oh I forgot them - they are OK but in my travel case. Overall I like most
brushes but was not impressed with Stila and Nars. rjudith
TIA ! - Naz
* Cover Girl powder brush: stubby, thick handle, flat brush -- picked it up
as a quicky replacement for another brush and still really like it for
blush, not powder.
* GB shadow
* Sonia K. eyeliner
That's it!

The skunk brush, actually called the fibreoptic brush, was highlighted
several years ago with Lancôme's Rouge collection. Its merit lies in that
you can you a bright or dark blush lightly with it. rjudith
