Sunny and about, oh, (avert your eyes, Joe) 20 degrees later today. We're off
to The Mall to see Julia Child's kitchen, the 3-D replica of the Burgess Shale,

Boston is indeed The Hub of the Universe (hey, that's what the plaque in the
Public Gardens says):

The Titans are from the South (they were the Houston Oilers before
they were the Tennessee Titans). They'd be cold if it was under 60.

Today's high is supposed to be 62 degrees but unfortunately the fog rolled
in early at 9 p.m. last night
and we still have a misty gray sky at 11:30 a.m. I can't complain because
we had almost a week of
clear crisp weather and the foggy season should be over by March 1st.
Yesterday I did a quick look
at all of the clothes in my closet to see which winter items I've been
overlooking. I already have three
"new" outfits planned for this week. I went through my costume jewelry and
pulled those earrings I
just don't wear anymore to better organize what I do wear. Today I will
look at my shoes. It's always
an ongoing process.

I agree about process. I went through mine for my monthly weaning out and
started packing for Whistler. We're having some work done on our master
suite (closet and bath reconfiguration - he wants a steam shower added and
I'm asking for better closet space) so I'll have to take everything (his
and mine) out and put it on rolling racks, organize it all, and so on when
we come back. We went to a boat/sportsmen's show over in St. Paul earlier
today and tonight we're going to hear David Bowie (I hope he's recovered
from his bout with the flu) with Macy Gray as his opening act.

What I'm wearing now:

* DKNY dk blue sweatpants & hoodie w. white Gap tank under hoodie
* Adidas navy-white "Jisho" Mary Janes w. low white tennis-style socks
* Engagement ring

What I'll wear tonight:

* Vince green cashmere hoodie & green cotton tank under
* Paper Denim Cloth "Tsunami" flare jeans, soft w. washed finish
* Engagement ring, Corum Trapeze mini strap watch w. black dial
& black aligator strap, WG hoops
* Camper slip on twins - pastoral scenic twins in greens, blues,
reds. I can't describe them adequately, but here's what they
look like: http://tinyurl.com/ai0b, w. JCrew orange cashmere
blend socks
* Prada green croc embossed 2 zip, 2 handle handbag
* Eddie Bauer off-white down jacket
* BR orange wool & angora bucket hat and a BR orange wool scarf & gloves

Cool! He was great last night. He kind of seemed to me to be a little bit
physically tired from being so ill (he sat down a lot on stage and seemed
to do it to gain some strength at regular intervals), but his voice was
in absolutely *fabulous form*. If you have a show anything like we did, I
think you should be pleased. :-)

Tonight we're meeting friends to have an early dinner, seeing the new Tim
Burton movie _Big Fish_ after dinner and then having a drink and dessert
after the movie.

* Paper Denim & Cloth "Sunkist" dark wash & whiskered jeans
* Kors prune deep V-neck viscose knit wrap top that ties under bust
& has a ruched-front shoulder strap thing going on
* Kulson lt. pink & natural shaped deep cut short tweed jacket w. a
wide and deep V collared neck
* Jennifer Scott choco croc-embossed "Bond" 2 handle satchel bag
* Manolo B olive suede "Kesha" wide ankle strap pumps
(NM post-holiday sale)
* Engagement ring, short YG diamonds by yard necklace layered w.
YG/WG Penny P style small multi-diamond necklace (Uneek) and a
YG bezel set diamond lariat necklace (Galerie de Bijoux), YG 3 pink
tourmaline drops dangling from small hammered crescent moons which
hold another pink tourmaline (ylang ylang), YG & stainless Ebel 1911
watch w. diamonds & MOP dial. I've been wanting to try the multiple
necklace look and the necklines on my top and jacket will carry it.
Not an every-day look for me, that's for sure, but it'll be a
different look for going out.

* Paul & Joe camel angora/wool single breasted wrap coat
(sale rack local boutique)
* Elizabeth Gillet brown velvet scarf w. leather fringe
(bluefly last year sometime)
* Portolano choco brown leather cashmere lined gloves

Little boy! Sweeeeeet! Born on our wedding
anniversary! Just 1 oz under 7 pounds. So
I win. The Child was exactly 7 pounds. ;=)

Unfortunately, there were some complications
(my sister ended up having an emergency C)
so he has to stay in the hospital for a few
more days. They want him to be able to eat
2 ozs of milk every 3 hours for 24 hours
before they let him go home. He was born
with acidosis (which I've never heard of)
and it's pretty serious, but he's "snapped
out of it" without any treatment and he has
only that one goal to meet. He is an
extremely lucky child from what I've learned.
We love him soooooo much! I can't wait
until I get to babysit!

Thanks, Smokey, I agree. :) I *love* my pairs of Camper twins. I usually
wear them when I'm feeling funky. This orange and green scenic/flower
pair is really a spring/summer shoe, what with the prints, or at least
that's when I bought them last year. Once I knew I wanted to wear orange

qualify (or want to) to have one in the house. I was trying to decide last
night what to do with some old rifles which are family heirlooms, but still
work. They are locked up properly and all that, but they still sort of give

Don't kid about a Glock.

On the other hand, you can kid about Colt.

Colt sold off their gun division (what started the company, after all)
and became Coltec Industries. Then they merged with BF Goodrich (who
sold of their tire division) and they changed the name of the whole
mess to Goodrich. Now they make pieces and parts of airplanes.

Can you say "corporate morphing?"

I read that and thought, "Is Huronia a felon, a psychotic, or under a
restraining order?"

Then I remembered that the large and cold country on our Northern
border forgot to put the Second Amendment in their equivalent of the
Bill of Rights.

Here, you can carry legally if you qualify for a CCW permit.  They are almost
impossible to get unless you have a work related reason or a reason to fear
bodily harm.

I was stalked (real stalking, real death threats, real terror) a few years back
and got the CCW for self-protection.

When the threat is so severe the local authorities call in the feds, having a CCW
is a wise precaution.

Can you tell if I'm carrying?  Define "concealed"!
