I have an OPI (can't remember the name off the top of my head) that is so
pretty, pale, and icy pink, but the pearly-ness makes it go on streaky, so I'm
hoping to have better luck with the One-Coat. I have 4 Almay's, and I find
myself using them the most of any of my nailpolishes, with the exception of OPI
Red. It was so funny b/c I picked up "Kiss" (Almay), looked at the bottle,
admired the color, and realized that I had it already, and that it was last
week's color!! :-)

*Primal Elements Dulce Leche (creamy milk and caramel scent) - Yum!!
*Maybelline Full and Soft Mascara - I really like this! It doesn't flake,
smudge, or clump, and stays on all day. It makes my lashes look full and
longer. Thanks for the rec, a.f.!
From Target:
*Hello Kitty shimmer bath set - Ugh! Hate the scents (well, the bubble gum
scented one is okay), but love the adorable bottles.
*Hello Kitty glitter e/s sticks in different colors - Cute and fun to play
with, but doesn't last and the glitter comes off easily. I don't expect
much from HK makeup anyway.
*White s/s tee with a cute penguin on the front. This reminded me of some
of the tees I saw on girlshop.com, but this one was only $5.00!

I bought one of these last month. Isn't it the cutest?!! The cut is really
great too. I'm going to wear it to my foster Christmas family's (I'm Jewish,
and every year my friend's family adopts me and my S.o. for Christmas day)
house under a very pretty red wide wale courdoroy shirt. I always get hot
(I'm sure that has nothing to do with wine), so I know I'll get to show it
off! I love sparkles and penguins, and Target, it's the perfect shirt!

~full size Go Pout lipstick in Sugar-Daddy
Junky case but this product is very interesting. I now want to buy a pinker
one. "Go Pout Lipcolor gives lips a fuller, more contoured look with
special dimensional effects. Creates an incredible illusion of fullness by
changing the way light reflects off lips. Brightens the center while
creating a contour-boosting shadow around the edges....Gives lips a pretty,
pearly, full-coverage finish." and darn - it really does.
~Gold metal 4 pan palette with an eye shadow duo in Bordeaux
Desert blush, All over powder in Shimmer and palette form of Futurist
Lipcolor in Divine Wine -SPF 15
This case is a little junk like since the lid is not attached and comes
completely off. But the product inside in quite nice. Makes me want to buy
and try an EL shadow. And the blush is a super neutral. The shimmer powder
is very subtle and very nice. And the Futurist Lipcolor in Divine Wine in
TDF - great over the Go Pout.
~gold retractable lip and blush brushes - sort of cheap - OK for an
emergency
~small gold metal compact of Lucidity pressed powder in transparent - pretty
nice and I think you could use the case to put a Stila shadow in and it has
a mirror. This refill alone sells for $8.
~double sided makeup mirror - am attractive wine metal case but heavy.
~All-Day full size lipstick in Pink Toffee - nothing pink about it
which is an obnoxious yellow shade. rjudith

-3 little radish ornaments Saw these on my mom's tree last year and thought
they were adorable.
Tysons Nordstrom
Anatasia counter
Dealt with the counter manager who was wonderful.
-tweezers These things are better than tweezerman for getting the little
hairs! I am amazed.
-post tweeze cream (large size) I will be using this after tweezing brows
and shaving other areas.
-Brow Pomade in a medium brown This is a cream to powder brow color. They
also have powder brow color and pencils. I was afraid to look too closely
because I would buy more.
-short handled stiff brow brush with grooves cut into it to simulate hairs
as you apply brow product
-Eyelights Rose Shimmer Pencil I bought this on the crest of buying. Not
sure it is necessary, but intend to enjoy it. Apparently, this is
Anastasia's "must have" for makeup and brows. It is intended to be used
under brows after filling in to create a clean sharp line. Of course, there
are many other pencil products out there you could use for this purpose.
Overall impression of the line was positive, but slightly taken aback at the
expense of products. The shadows looked gorgeous! Texture was very nice.
The counter manager was super nice and can't remember her name. The
packaging is pretty to look at, but kind of chintzy in hand. Not that big
of a deal to me, though. Didn't play with foudnations, concealers, powders,
lipsticks, etc.
Stila
Got makeover from Stila artist. She was hovering over counter with line
person and offered. She was kinda pushing a bit too much. I ended up with:
-replacement Kate lipstick
-replacement Fade blush
-Starlight shadow
-Rumba shadow This the artist sold me on. I would never have picked this
for myself. Used wet as liner and them smudged up onto lid.
Would have bought 2 #2 lip pencils, but they were out of stock.
Sephora
-Nars Harlow gloss Looked at Bourjois, but glosses smelled!
-Sephora Artist line Crayon for lips & eyes #480 Nice red brown that
simulates Stila #2 & La Bella Donna REd Brown.
-Bourjois mascara in black
-Astara Anitoxident Body Lotion
-Astara Microcluster Facial Serum for Sensitive Skin
-Natureopatheca (Sp) Honey Vanilla Balm Don't like. Too greasy.
-Nuxe Balm in pot. LOVE! Thick not greasy texture and moistuizes.
That's it and I'm running late for work!
Ellen
>The counter manager was super nice and can't remember her name.
IIRC her name is Andrea. I highly recommend a visit to those in the area. I
did not have a makeover but Andrea is very knowledgeable about the line.
Barb
From Nordstrom Rack (I'm going to drive people crazy with these raves
for this place, but it's truly unbelievable):
A pair of straight-leg BCBG stretch khakis, original price $68, I paid
$14.99.
A sheer black Laundry by Shellie Siegal tank with beads, original price
$149, I paid $29.99.
An *adorable* red and white gingham knee-length tank dress, slim-fitting
and low-cut with flowers embroidered on the hem. Original price was
around $200, I paid $24.99.
Over $400 worth of clothing for $70 - HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS
PLACE?!?!??!? :)
I also just got a Wet n Wild Body Puddin' in Chocolate, and I really
like it. I've used it on my eyes with L'Oreal On the Loose powder in
Orb. Looks really nice.

Reminds me Melanie, I just want to get out of the Studio one day to go play
shopping. I have a $100 gift certificate for Charlottes where I buy my Jaeger
and just received a
$50 Gift Certificate from Jaeger if I make a minimum $400 purchase - looks like
I will need to dig for $250 out of pocket to use both of these or I could just
be more practical and spend only the $100 Gift Certficate. Since I just
purchased scads of Jaeger it will have to be something very very special.

I think you are absolutely correct Melanie
- is your calculator handy CoFarb - do I spend $100 or is there a way to
calculate the $400.
Now this sounds like something I could get into. Does anyone know the
color range on these? Would they happen to have any reds?

they have at least one red, called Well Red
Hot Chili appears to be a red as well, as does On Fire (though this looks to
be an orangey red)
there are swatches on the estee lauder website. can't vouch for accuracy
though.

I placed an order at ibeauty for the first time in my life (holding my breath).
I couldn't resist the $20 off, $25 gc, free gift worth $25 and all the items
that were half off. Bought some EA Liptalkers (I've always liked these) plus
the EA clear lipgloss, some Bloom pamper packs and the Philosophy Help Me
Retinol product..
Oh - also purchased a new, larger purse for my plane trip next week...I needed
to be able to fit 3 paperbacks, glasses and all the other assorted items in my
handbag...

Actually it was yesterday and the server was funky and it wouldn't send my
message. So...
I did some more drugstore damage since I do not have access to higher end items
where my family lives. Oh well that is what the Nordstroms Beauty Hotline is
for...I just don't get the pleasure of shopping in the store:(
Anyways:
*Maybelline- Cool effects eyeliner that is a shimmery gray pencil. I also decided
that I had to have a blush stick so I picked out Rosy and wore it last night. I
didn't want something with alot of shimmer and this just deposits a minute amount
so I was happy.
*Cover Girl-has these new oil absorbing sheets out that are blue and do a bang up
job of sucking up the shine on my face. They were about $5 for a pack of 30 and I
may have to go back and purchase more because I liked them so much. Another thing
I really liked was that no powder was deposited and so these can truly be used for
any skin color.
*Revlon-I checked out the skinlights and really am not too impressed. Not too sure
why but these items didn't grab me. However, I bought a replacement for my eyebrow
color in brunette, so I am happy.
*L'Oreal-I was the first to see the ColorJuice shimmers and rouge pulps in the
local CVS. Talk about getting ready for spring! There were about 10 colors (I
think) that were split between lip shimmers (new?) and the rouge pulps. The colors
were quite tropical and beautiful and caught my eye in the midst of all the holiday
colors. There were bright pinks, a kiwi color, a gold, and a pretty grape shade in
the rouge pulps. They were light in comparison to how they appeared in the
bottle. The shimmers caught me. I purchased melonade that the model was wearing
(Laetitia?). It is a gorgeous melony shimmer that I think would look good on a
variety of skin tones. There was an icky brownish-gold shade that I passed on. I
may have to go back and get more. They were about $7.95 each.
*WnW lipstick in 919 a shimmery rosy red. It was pretty and I wanted it. 'Nuff
said.

Thank you much. Still trying to decide what to look at so I can get
the PWP. Eyeshadow or lipstick. Maybe one of each.
Thank God my mother likes EL fragrances or I would have missed out...

Actually at my Lord&Taylor the PWP is good if you purchase any EL
product. Which is really good becuase I don't like their scents.
Pretty decent PWP too.
my L&T has a different EL set for the PWP, and it's good with any purchase...
but the PWP itself is $37.50. i got waylaid to the chanel counter where i was
forced to buy the watercolor special palette instead. still gotta get me the
other PWP!
