*** "The Odyssey" Restarts On The Sci-Fi Channel! ***
Looking for a TV show that is like no other? Something different?
Unique? And for young people (and older alike)?
On Monday, March 10th, the Sci-Fi Channel will begin running the "The
Odyssey" series over again (check www.scifi.com/odyssey to confirm
times). This Canadian young adult half-hour TV show, which ran from
1991 through 1995, never developed a big following. But it should
have:
A charismatic cast
Top-notch costumes and sets
Stories that are interesting and mysterious
Great for family viewing
A show that's both thought-provoking yet easy to enjoy
The story:
Ten-year old Jay Ziegler is physically caught between two worlds.
While he battles out of a coma in our world (Upworld), he
simultaneously finds himself on an odyssey in a parallel world
(Downworld) to find out what happened to his long-lost father. But
Downworld is no ordinary world: it is a place where older kids rule,
where the strong survive, where every turn leads to more questions and
tests of Jay's honor.
Starring Illya Woloshyn, Tony Sampson, Ashley Rogers and Andrea Nemeth,
this show deserves one viewing. I've seen very few shows like it.

Hi! Thanks for the info on this TV show. Living near the Canadian border
I've been watching this series since it's original airing...
Oh, by the way... The first 2 years of the series is based on a TRUE
story. A Canadian kid really did hurt himself and went into a coma. When
he came out of the Coma... He relayed what became the basic storyline of
this program...
