I just watched "The Man Who Wasn't There" for the third time.
> THE ACTING!
Well, compared to the King of straight to video, Michael Biehn, Billy Bob
Thornton is Laurence fucking Olivier.
> THE CAMERWORK!
Pure genius. Not a scene goes by that wouldn't make most photographers
jealous (I should know, I am one). And better than anything produced in an
Eighties Cameron movie.
> THE STYLE!
Forties is the new Seventies, baby.
> THE DIALOGUE!
Billy Bob has as many lines as Arnie. Only wittier.
> THE STORY!
Classic Coens
> THE ACTION!
Okay, minimal.
> THE GUTSY FX!
erm.... a UFO sequence?
> THE EDITING!
Better than Terminator
> THE MUSIC!
Maybe not as memorable, but it fits.
> THE WARDROBE!
I have to ask.... what was so good about Terminator's wardrobe?
> BEAUTIFUL LINDA!
Scarlett Johansson will grow into a very beautiful young lady, i'm sure. And
Linda Hamilton ain't my idea of an oil painting.
> ARNOLD'S PRESENCE!
Billy Bob's Presence!
> MICHAEL BIEHN'S PRESENCE!
James Gandolfini's presence! Frances McDormand's presence!

So despite the poor attempts of many people in the past to tell of the
genius that his The Terminator, it remains one of those stories popular
simply for the "fanboy" appeal.

Hmm, that's food for thought, but alas Tolkien has passed away, and besides
I doubt he'd include the mating rituals of the Trolls in any part of his
creation... I'll get me coat...

That movie rocked! Is this available on video yet? Coens rule!

One thing that I enjoy about Terminator versus Clones is
the time travel aspect. I've always loved time travel tales.

If your talking about the original _Terminator_ then you talking about
an absolute SF classic so it hardly seems fair to compare it to
cheesy space opera.

_Terminator_ had a really interesting story and great characters.
And I loved the ending. And on top of that it was a great action
movie. I love it when I get great story telling and first rate action
at the same time. It hardly ever happens.

T2 on the other hand is another story. It's more of a lame remake
than a sequel. The only think it had going for it were cool new
special effects. But now that that morphing effect is common
in TV commercials even the SFX in T2 are dull.

Examples?

Btw, Han did shoot first. That change was
major league booool sheet, imo.

12 years they will be a lot better. I don't think that necessarily makes the
one I have now suck. Just because the innovative SFX of T2 are commonplace
now, doesn't make them any less quality. I am a fan of plot over SFX. THE NT
has better SFX than Episiodes 4-6, but the movies aren't nearly as good. My
opinion. like buttholes. We all have one (and my boss is one).

That's why they used "time displacement" instead of ...aww forget it.
