People who are bitching about a no DVD release kind of remind me of those
faggots who didn't like the awesome work done in Star Wars: Special
Edition's Greedo scene. That scene was WAY better than the original CRAPPY
one in the 1977 edition of the movie, OK???
ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME IS NOT A TRUE STAR WARS FAN AND DESERVES TO

Hello?!?!? I think you missed the obvious in regards to this post,
which I for one found verrrrry funny.

P.S. If you read StarWars.com's article about the DVD non-release,
you'd see that George Lucas is telling us to Piss Off....

TPM wasnt in the making for 16 years. And although I agree that the effects
were good, ESB was a better film.

TPM has not been in production for 16 years. And I agree about the dvd
complaints. I have a dvd, but I've decided I have to live with what ever
George does. After all it's his dang movie. Even though I want a dvd version,
I'll just have to settle for the vhs. BTW: If GL is our god, then we're all in
trouble. Remember Howard the Duck?

Your oppinion, not everyones. I think TPM lack so much, and struggled to even
see eye to eye with either of the first three. So remember no ones oppinon is
right. If your talking about highest grossing movies of all time, then under
that statement Titanic made TPM look like a dump truck of shit.

Not okay in my oppinion, but we don't have to agree.

Then show me the door, because your acting like a self obsessed moron. Calm
down, no movie is that important.

We're talking about transferring a movie to DVD and not refilming the damn
thing. He needs to let the DVD authors do their thing and put out some
basic disks.

Really? Did he count them? How many were there? Relevence?

It's what seperated Lucas from the Pack in 77. The studios thought he was an
idiot for pursuing them. Bet they feel pretty dumb now.

It is his name to sell. Companies buy it up, because they know they can make
money with it. Are you goig to hold him responsible for who those companies
pay to make the toys?

Wah, wah and oh by the way, wah. This would be another example of people
complaining, without a clue as to why. You call Lucas a sellout, but then
whine, because he doesn't sell the product you want. This is like someone
who complains about how inhumanly someone in another country is treated, but
then beats their kids. Lucas' time is his own. You don't tell him how to
spend it. wes

Before you buy.
I try to avoid buying products/toys made in certain countries because of the
human rights issues and I do not beat my children as you have implied.
I'm whining about the fact that he puts the dollar before the fans now.
You're whining because you chose to read a thread by somebody whining. At
least I'm whining about something relative. You're whining about me
whining.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Sounds like a lovely place to work. Are you trying to say that Lucas is
responsible for the proliferation of lawyers or that he should not hire them
and instead let his products be taken out from under him?
>

I never implied that you even had children. I used the term -someone-. It is
a fairly coomon occurence to make a statement about things occuring to
children in another country while ignoring those at home, in ours.
>

If that were true, then why is he not selling more merchandise? Why is he not
releasing TPM or the original trilogy on DVD? Why did he pull the original
trilogy off the shelves prior to TPM's release if he wanted more money? He
could simply have let the stock on the shelves run out, but instead he pulls
them off the shelves. Which actually costs him money, because he can't sell
those now. He's had to eat the production costs of those tapes. Why, if he's
only interested in money?

No, I'm pointing out the holes in your whining. This would be known as error
correction. A positive influence. Not whining, which is a negative one. wes

Thanks, are you going to cut up my meat for me too? If I have a problem with
someones language here I have a number of options. Reporting them to their
ISP only occurs after about a dozen or so posts in which they personally
attack me or a group of people here. There are a number of other options.
Censorship is never an option. And perhaops you should consider seeking
professional help in your endeavor, for I have little doubt that you are in
serious need of it if you feel this post or any of a few other dozen others
I've seen you respond to count as vulgar. wes

This would be yet another stellar example of the type of People whining about
DVD and why we have such a wonderful time trying to debate with them. It is
also an example of whythey can not be debated. wes
Why people want DVD is not in dispute. It is a better movie format. What you
and others do not seem to understand is that he has to take time for each
format. Time adds up. It takes longer to produce another format, no matter
it is and no matter who he has do it for him, he still has to make the
decisions as to what needs to be done. And to follow your band analogy. How
many other projects are those bands involved in? Lucas has a number of
companies which he sticks his nose into on a regular basis. He doesn't just
produce one thing, tour for awhile, then take a vacation until the next album
or tour.

dood...what does any of this have to do with beta? i mean...that subject is
like, TOTALLY misleading. i have a beta player...at my house, when im not
at the uni. heh...that sounds so funny to me...uni uni school uni. heh.
anyway...so yeah, i like, have a beta player, super beta i think, and it
still works. and thats good cause my parents used to copy movies off
cinemax all the time, and we never bought them on video, but i have them on
beta. like THE PRINCESS BRIDE and gremilns (both of which also need DVD
releases) and labyrinth(which i have on DVD!)...but dont take those DVD
remarks as complaining...just wishful thinking. :)
so yeah...beta rules!
weaver (dark lord of the gerbil)
Gremlins *is* on DVD....
