Ok time to describe the planet Mobius itself.

Mobius: A large M class planet orbiting a yellow star. Mobius has
three known satellites. And one missing one known as the
Little Planet which is said to appear over Never Lake every few years.
One satellite, Kirbis, has rings over it. Mobius has five
major oceans which cover over 6/10th's of the planets surface. Mobius
has 6 continental masses, Mobius, the largest of the
six, Adintis, Dibin, and Lufrey There are also the polar regions that
both have continental masses. The north pole continent is
called, Koholent. The southern polar continent is said to be in all
truth a gigantic glacier upon which no land mass truly exists, it
is called Sarayun. The oceans are named Menbreak, the largest, Inris,
the second largest, Plak, which is the third largest and
extends into the southern pole. And finally Colbo, which is also called
the North Ocean because it extends into the northern
pole. Every 500 years Mobius experiences a wobble in its own axis which
causes the planet itself to tilt the southern pole into
the light for a much longer period. During this time the winter for the
northern hemisphere lasts almost 10 months. While the
southern hemisphere begins to melt and revel itself.

South Island: Home of Sonic and the gang. South Island floats softly
in the southwestern part Menbreak Ocean. South Island is the largest
island on Mobius (over 1000 sq. miles large. There are three cities
lining the edges of South Island. There are also some zones. The
center of the island is mostly forest and plains. The plains zone is
known at the Emerald Hill Zone. The only known mountain on South Island
is known humorously as Hill Mountain. The cities on South Island are.
Thaybis city, which contains a major chemical plant. Meru City is on the
west coast and is a major harbor city. And finally South City. The
capital of South Island.

Mobius: The largest continent on Mobius. It is named for the planet
itself. Mobius is over 60,000+ square miles in diameter
and is shaped somewhat rectangular. It is surrounded by two oceans, the
Menbreak and Inris oceans. Mobius is the largest
known habitat for all life on Mobius. On the continent are a number of
major human cities as well as beautiful forests and
plains. The seven major cities are: Station Square, on the west
coast. Lupines City on the east coast. Drago City, Elrues
City, Grews City, Xeiru City, and finally the capital of Mobius, the
twin cities known as Mobotropolis. Mobotropolis is not
only in on the ground but in the air as well. For the only other large
floating land mass floats above the Mobotropolis-Land.
Mobotopolis-Sky is the part of the city where the humans conduct
legislation and other government issues. While Mobotropolis
land is where the people live.

Adintis: A continent located south of Mobius. It is separated by the
Purgu Sea. It is also known as Crateria. Because the center of the
continent is one large crater. It is apparent that a number of eons ago
a very large meteor hit the continent. Wiping out most of the life on
it along with everything else. It is now a land of deserts and plains,
with little water and plant life. It exists as one gigantic zone.

Dibin: A continent to the west. It is separated by the Menbreak
Ocean. Dibin is a mountainous continent with two small deserts and a
large lake in the center. It also have five major rivers. It is also
known as Overlander Territory. The only known major city is surrounded
by mountains within a zone known as Overlandis.

Lufrey: Located in the east. It is a continent known as The Land Of
Darkness. It seems to be covered with a large cloud of dust from some a
meteor impact long ago. It had been theorized that the meteor that
struck the continent threw up large amounts of ionized dust and the dust
polarized to the continent itself. Because of this the sun rarely
shines on the land and it is unknown if anything lives there. Storms
frequent the landscape and and earthquakes seem to plague the land there
constantly.

Floating Island: Also known as Angel Island. It is a strange floating
land mass that is a about 1000 miles in size. No one has ever landed on
the island but it floats with the air currents across Mobius.

I'd have thought it would be smaller than earth, as its normally possible to
see the curvature. But anyways.

A satellite which has rings? Major astronomical problem as the current
theory is rings are formed by satelites wobbling as they orbit around giant
planets. Three satellites would probably make mobius seismically unstable as
well. Depends how big they are.

How big is this tilt?

I don't like things like this. The charge of the gas would slowly leak away
and be gone quite quickly, or spread over the entire planet...

We don't call the Arctic ocean the "North ocean", what is it with Mobians

SOME zones? Everything that happened in Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 1 GG, Sonic
2 GG, Sonic Drift 1&2, Sonic Chaos, and Sonic Triple Trouble have all
happened on South Island, as far as anyone knows.

I hope you mean in area, because diameter is the distance from one side of a
circle to the other, or radius times two. if Mobius were 60,000 miles in
diameter, then it would be 2,826,900,000 square miles, or more than 14 times
the total area of the earth.

Interesting thought, although I doubt an actual city would ever form like

What's the point of having overlanders? People and mobians seem to coexist
in this world of yours.

If dust polarized to the continent, there wouldn't be any cloud. The dust
would be attracted to the continent and settle.

Now they think gravitons are a boson rather than a particle so would best be
described as waveform. Like light is.

Mobian cartographers are lazy. That's why Mobius looks so much like Earth in
terns of landmasses; when they made a map they just traced it off a Rand
McNally atlas!

>> Every 500 years Mobius experiences a wobble in its own axis which

Hmm.

[WARNING: SCIENCE-LIKE TYPING DETECTED]

Now, if the northern pole is normally towards the sun, then that would mean
the planet is tilted like so...

<--sun is \ N
thataway \
S \

...which, if it matched Earth's axial tilt would be roughly... 18 degrees, if
I'm not mistaken. (Glazius or any other educated person, feel free to stop me
and tell it the right way anytime here...)

Now, for the planet to "wobble", as you put it, so that the southern pole is
pointed towards the sun, like thusly...

<--sun is N /
thisaway /
/ S

...then the planet would have to shift 36 degrees on its axis.

Now, I'm no ecological expert, but I'm pretty sure that a change in tilt that
dramatic would play hell with the planet, throwing all the weather systems and
water flows and everything else absolutely out of whack. And if it's just a
"wobble", meaning it tilts 36 degrees to the south and then tilts *back* 36
degrees within 10 months, which is a relatively short period of time...

It's amazing that anything could adapt to conditions that volatile.

[Thus endeth "Auto Mechanic's Science Corner", with your host Truman Bradley.]

If you were magic based a piece of obsidian that size would have caused you

The Mediterranean Sea is literally the "Between Land" Sea. In ancient
times, the Romans called it "Nostrum Mare" - Our Sea (they were a tad
egotistical, yes). The Pacific Ocean is named that because it is calm, or
pacified, compared to the Atlantic. The Indian Sea is obvious. Then there's
stuff like Pennsylvania, which is "Penn's Forest." New England, New York,
New Jerusalem... we're not the most original creatures ourselves...

Okay, so it's not a town from FFVI, it's the island from Link's Awakening
(well, it's Koholint, but you get the idea). Anyway, it's CERTAINLY not
from FFI - it's far too long.

Oh, sure - if you really want to mix in ancient Rome with the Mobians and
the Overlanders... and then, of course, you need to make the northeastern
part of South Island into France to account for Antoine...

When I said Final Fantasy, I meant everything ever under the title Final
Fantasy.Had I meant the very first one, I would have said "Final Fantasy: No
