*SCREAM* No sequel, ohgod, please, NO SEQUEL!

Sorry, but the first one was enough.. too many nonSonic, nonMobius
references, and the characters were all OUT of character.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but you will probably have a *VERY* hard time
to find even *ONE* who liked that particular story... it was simply too
off-character, and too sloppily written.

I'm sure the author of the story is reading these posts and
feeling pretty bad about it. Now this isn't a defense, as I didn't like
the Fanfic either. Rather, it is to point out to the author of the
Fanfic where he/she went wrong. Now, we all know that the flames have
been about plotholes, way too much Greenday on Mobius and general
"sloppiness" in the writing. But it is my belief SonicFan or whoever
wrote this, (I think it was SonicFan...) that you would have escaped
these flames almost completely by doing one simple thing: Not claiming
it to be the best Sonic Fanfic ever. Anyone who does this is instantly
classed as an idiot, and their Fanfic is read with scorn. Quite what
elements of the story did you believe classed it as the "best" Sonic
Fanfic ever? So far you haven't even defended yourself. And please, no
flames. We've had enough of them.

Wow! Anyone who has read / will read my post to SonicFan about
the Fanfic may have noticed I quoted the word "sloppiness". I wasn't
actually quoting it from Alessandro, as I read this post afterwards, I
was writing down what I thought our general opinion was, and I put the
word in speech-marks because I thought it might not be accepted as a
real word. But now someone else has used exactly the same word, and that
someone is the bloke who knows exactly what makes a Fanfic good. So it
seems to me that's SonicFan's main downfall - sloppy writing (including
plotholes).
Sloppy.
Sloppy sloppy sloppy
Sloppy sloppy
Sloppy sloppy sloppy

... And now "sloppy" just sounds silly. *B^D

I agree. Although the author's no Dan Drazen (no offense to either of
you), it's SonicFAN's fanfic and his/her imagination. Let's let fanfic
be what it should be: whatever the author wants it to be.

I'm all for that. And I encourage it, any writer will get better
by doing it a lot. That's obvious. So yes, let SonicFan do as many
Fanfics as he/she likes (we don't have to read them, right?) but the
point is, SonicFan, don't put "This is the best Sonic Fanfic ever!" at
the beginning. If you use this simple rule, we'll take you more
seriously.
And always remember what would and would not be on Mobius.
Greenday, for instance, would not be on Mobius. Certain things are also
inappropriate, like the whole IRC thing. Sonic and Sally would not do
that. And if they would, we wouldn't hear about it. Some aspects of life
need editing out, and that's one of them.
If you write your stories consistantly and following those basic
rules, you'll be taken much more seriously. Also, judging by your first
story, it seems to me it would help you to decide what the end of the
story will be before you start. You seem to be making up the story as
you go along - by deciding on the ending first, you'll be able to make
sure what you're writing in between is relevant. That's not the way most
writers work, but it seems to me at the moment that it would work for
you.

I agree.. to a point. If the author claims that their

don't even think that SONICFAN is paying any

Ha! Usualy keep your mouth shut. Remember me and that barely Sonic

Respect, that was the word I was looking for. Yes, respect. If
you say your story is the best Sonic Fanfic in the Universe, when it is
clearly.. Well... Quite, uhm.. Bad, then we're not going to respect you
enough to open our minds towards enjoying it.

I agree, but that's what I was trying to avoid. By getting him
in the habit of not saying he's the best writer in the known Universe
when clearly this is false, I wondered whether this would deter him from
future lamer actions. Hey, it's worth a shot. *B^)

So, don't exaggerate your skills to us, SonicFan. Although
having said that, it isn't just that, there were a lot of genuine
mistakes and bad points to your Fanfics, please try to work on them. And
perhaps have some good, or acceptable, parts in-between them?

While I could go on and on about
the horrible things, lets focus now
on the good things about Sonic
Fights Robotnik. It had -one- good
thing in it's original form, one thing
that had a lot in common with the
Lost World. It ended. There is
