*cough, hack* No! Don't you DARE go there! My
god, you'll die! You'll be forced to see the most
horribly written, deformedly drawn, and ultimately
disgusting so-called 'stories' in the world! All of
them are written by a putridly arrogant demented
child called "Gonterman," who is the horror of
the Sonic world! Whatever you do, don't TOUCH
one of his pathetic and entirely worthless pieces
of wasted space!

If you really want to read Mobius Chronicles, YEAH RIGHT!!! But if you want to
at least see how truely horrible it is..then check out the MiST instead. It's
at http://pinky.wtower.com/mst3k/cgi/misting-search.pl
Go to Sonic in the search box and you should find it! It's funny! It's hosted
by Zorak, Brak, and Space Ghost.
BTW, one of my stories got MiSTED too. It's pretty funny :)

Oh, yes I do. Not only is Gonterman himself an
absolutely worthless and arrogant waste of flesh,
his stories aren't even worth squirrel droppings.
I've spoken to and seen Gonterman attempt to
go through life, and he is an assholish man with
no grasp on reality. He actually -wonders- why
professionals turn him down.. well, the answer
is quite simple. He boasts his trash as if it
were better than anything (hence his constantly
patting himself on the back, even in his stories),
although it is worthless. Have you even -seen-
the horrible things he's done? Drawing all of
the characters from Sailor Moon and Sonic
with sausage link limbs and bloated heads,
in hideously out-of-character stories? If he
was modest about his work, it would, at the
very least, be respectable. However, he in
fact thinks that it is absolutely brilliant, when
it isn't even close to being below average.

Also, as you can see, plenty of people here
agree with me, as well as literally hundreds
of people in the Sonic fandom. I will happily
say that his fan base, -if- there is any, is
made up of total and utter idiots who are
easily pleased.

>Gonterman makes one of the best stories
>ever.

Um, no, he makes the worst stories and the
most blindingly abhorent artwork in existance.
I'd rather say Psycho is an original character
than say that Gonterman's stories are even
worth -looking- at. Nothing would ever, ever
make me say that they were good, especially
since the creator himself is a useless and
painfully oblivious person.

>Why don't you stop being a dork and leave
>David Gonterman alone and start sending
>people TO Foxfire Studios.

Because I don't want to be sent to jail for
shipping off innocent children and teens
to their certain deaths. You've obviously
been brainwashed by those absolutely
disgusting and mind-deflating pieces of
garbage.

>In fact, have you been there recently? I
>think not or you wouldn't have said
>something as idiotic as you just did.

It wasn't idiotic, but in fact quite true, since
an overwhelming amount of Sonic fans do
share these feelings. You're basically.. oh,
one in several thousand who actually thinks
Gonterman is good at what he does. For
this, I really do pity you.

Also, yes, I was there not too long ago, and
was promptly sickened. Gonterman deserves
nothing more than to be tied to his bed, cut
up several thousand times with a folded sheet
of paper, have lemon juice and salt poured all
over him, then to have all of his limbs roasted
and removed, and then, to end it all by tearing
out his eyes and stabbing him through the
heart with his favorite pen. Being constantly
dipped in acid before all of this would also
be nice.

No, YOU don't know what you're talking about. FoxFire Studios' Sonic comic
and Sailor moon comic really just plain STINK!! The FoxFire comic is so-so,
but the art needs LOTS of improvement. Gonterman always has to make himself
the hero, and in the Sonic stories, he overshadows Sonic! Now that just
ain't right. It's supposed to be a SONIC comic, not a DAVID comic!!!

Raz, you MUST see it... Sonic fan is not a dumb as he seems, He is accually
writing these storys for a REASON! He is out to get us, he is saing these
moronic things to urk us! He says David Gonterman is the best, when He is not.
We all know that Mr. Drazen is the best, because He simply has had more
experence with writers and writing. I mean, he works at a LIBRARY! SonicFan is
much smarter than he seems, and I think he is really just another pathetic
attempt to ruin out lives.

up a total of 66 times, and I counted 404 uses of any form of the name

eheehheee.. couldn't have said it better myself! Which, I guess, is why
I *didn't*...

You should go here to read some of Gonterman's Sonic comics instead:
http://sgp.simplenet.com/images/bod/sth.htm

The artwork's still awful, but the dialogue was changed, so it's easier
to stomach than the originals. 8-) Oh, by the way, the rewritten
versions are parodies of the originals, too.

As far as spelling goes, you definitely haven't.

'Cause they were -biiiiiiig- 'mistakes,' ones which
he isn't truly sorry for, or ones which were just so
incredibly stupid that he just doesn't deserve to be
forgiven. For instance, endlessly patting himself
on the back, which he -still- does. He thinks he's
better than some -professional- Manga artists?!
My god, does he do every drug known to man
and THEN SOME?!

He's arrogant, boastful, and overall, an asshead.
His stories usually direct the spotlight towards
him, and generally forces some of the important
characters to fall in love with him. I'm (not) terribly
sorry, but.. who the hell would fall in love with
such an entirely worthless.. thing..?!

> I think it's about time this news group should

No! So there, live with it, oh kisser of the ass of
Davey.

Remember, I'm not the -only- one who shares
this here view. Basically everyone does. David
Gonterman is an utter disgrace to the Sonic
universe and mankind in general.

>I bet none of you have had contact with Davey
>out side this news group if ever.

I've had a -lot- of contact. I remember him in
Knothole, RolePlaying. I know Suni pretty
well and she's a friend of mine, as are a lot
of the other people who he was in touch with
at one point in time, including Yasha. I've
spoken with the shit. As many others did, I
had to suffer through putting up with all of his
disgusting crap and merely settle for insulting
it all behind his back. That stopped when he
went too far.

Oh yeah, and to say it, Howie, you kick ass,
and have justly defended Suni, and stuff. You
deserve some cheese or, uh, something.. but..
I'm afraid.. I don't have any.

Well, I do, so apparently, that doesn't apply
to me. Hurrah.

*ahem* Excuse me? I'm not talking about just
that. In fact, I never even implied that I was. I'm
talking about -everything- Gonterman does, all
the way down to that truly pathetic Shogun
Sherrif or whatever the hell crap.

> and to you Raz I have one thing to say
>

Um, no. He's worthless. He doesn't deserve a
single bit of praise, because he's earned none
of it. Hell, he gives HIMSELF all the praise any
horde of humans would ever need, and he won't
stop doing that anytime soon. So, if you want
to try to tell someone what to do, why don't
you go up to dear ol' Davey-kins and tell
him to get over himself?

> or are you so intimidated by his work that you

*cough* .. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You..
actually.. THINK.. I'm intimidated? Damn, that's
rich. Huh. You've never seen any of my artwork
or writing, you dumb little halfass. Wanna know
why not? Simple. I don't go flaunting it like that
shit Gonterman does. My friends see it, and
only if they're interested. I don't go sticking
it everywhere and saying it's the grandest
thing in the world like a moron.

now, I'm not sure if that's a sound judgement. Have you accually read my MiSTs

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but if you think about it, maybe I'm not
writing it for you. Maybe I'm writing it for the other people that LIKE it. And
don't say "Couple" You have no idea who likes it or not, and I think overall,

HA! Mentally Distructive? I'd like to see the accual effects of reading my

dislike it, or prehaps, even like it.

Yes, It seems that odd people would like it, because I'm odd.

Oh, Now you're saying that my work causes a breakdown of brain tissue, and can

HA! Did I ever say I thought that People would appreciate it? I said That I
felt like it. I said that if there was a demand for it, I would post it.
Meaning, if they want it, I give it to them, If they don't want it, I won't
give it to them. I never said it would be loved more than the MiST already
done. I read that MiST, and It was downright FUNNY! I loved it, and I hope that
people will find it funny as well, and maybe, by some strange quirk, even AS
funny as the MiST, but that's up to the readers. If you look closely, you
notice that this was not ment to be a flame, simply a responce, however rude it

Um, aren't you the one who brought us fan fiction highlights such as
"Sonic Fights Robotnik" part whatever? If you use the same measurements
for Gonterman as you use for your own work, then I can understand why you
claim that they are good (duh)...

Years ago, when Sonic fandom was 'young' and there weren't many fan
fiction writers around, David Gonterman's "Blood & Metal" page was a 'hot
pick', especially because he was one of the first to combine his work with
pictures, and I have to admit that his first few stories were not _that_
bad.

But later it got way out of hand, when Gonterman started to give his self-
made character (Davey Crockett) almost godlike power and made him the sole
star of every story. This was also when other fan fiction writers
appeared on the scene, most of them not really caring about continuity,
the characters, or the Sonic Universe as such; they only used it to
further their own warped ideas and self-made characters, and David put all
those stories up without rejecting any of them.

The result was that on his page we now mostly find Sonic stories featuring
crossovers and/or borrowed characters from Sailor Moon, Rocket Knight
Adventures, Dune, Knight Rider, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Redwall
(with Tails as Mattimeo), as well as stories with excessive fighting,
blood, violence, killing and lots of other out-of-place stuff, including
out-of-character behavior like Sonic being shown as a heavy drinker (after
having severe psychological problems due to his roboticization in "Mecha
Madness"), mature contents like rape (poor Amy Rose), a story where a
female hedgehog is tortured to death (Sonia Hedgehog, created by Emily
Smith) or even a story where Sally sentences someone to death and orders
him to be hanged in the center of Knothole (ok, Joseph DeLaCroix wrote a
story with a similar event, but that idea was just as lousy and
unfitting). To name only a few.

David's latest Sonic fan-comic that I remember was a 'story' which not
only resolved mostly around Davey Crockett, but also featured other badly-
chosen characters like Sera from the Sonic Anime (and of course she had a
love interest in Davey, who else?). In his comic he even called Sonic
"Sonikku" just because he thinks this is cool...

David once pointed out to me that he hasn't seen a single episode of the
SatAM cartoon, and doesn't really care about it either. IMHO he just
mixes in what he likes, without bothering if it fits or not. Well, and
because of all this, his reputation and the reputation of his page isn't
very good among other Sonic fans and fan fiction readers... and he
_deserves_ it. Certain things simply shouldn't appear in a Sonic story,
and everyone should at least _try_ to follow SatAM to a certain extent...
the Sonic World is no place for stories a la Doom, or a place where so
many self-made characters hang around that the story can hardly be called
a 'Sonic fanfic' anymore...

But of course you are all free to check for yourselves. Everyone who
doesn't believe me, just go to David's page and read some of the stories
there. If you like them, then fine (there _are_ fans around who go for
Rambo/Doom/out-of-character/crossover-style stories and the like, even if
they aren't really _Sonic_ stories). But if not, then don't say you
haven't been warned. ;)

Bye

How is it that we get the uncoventional spelling "Sera" and not "Sarah?"
I've only seen Sarah once, in the GameFan magazine that covered the anime
(The pictures were scanned by one guy and then got pasted by other people all
over the place on the net. I think that's hilarious.), but I've never seen
anything that says it's Sera, except from all the people here who spell it
that way. Why is that? In Kanji the name would be spelled purely
phoneticly, so "Sera" certainly is the quickest translation, but.....

Guess we'll see when ADV releases it and we can READ the credits. ^_^

Uh.. I'll start by telling you that no
american, or forigen name will ever
be spelled in Kanji, unless it's a direct
translation. The KATAKANA for
Sarah is "Sera", and that is posted
on the jackets of the Anime as her

Also, take a look at Mary Yamasaki's French Sonic comics. You can find
some samples at

The pages in this directory show Mary's vision on how Sonic met Tails. :)

Alas I had only time to translate those few pages yet, and I admit that I

what Mary's pencil scribbling was supposed to mean (not all the pages were

I don't think you know what I meant.. When I say Kanji, as a person who
doesn't know anything about that sort of thing, I mean any form of writing
that comes out of Japan. So what I was saying is... umm.. let's get to that
below..

Yeah, "loan word" sounds good. The Japanese do not have the characters to
spell out "Sonic" so they mix up their characters to spell out something
similar, "So-ni-kku," or something like that. And the same thing with
"Sarah," it goes "Se-ra." Because the Japanese characters do not have silent
h's hidden within them. But the Japanese certainly don't have any trouble
writing Sonic instead of Sonikku, when writing his name in English.

So when you speak of this Katanaka thing, is that literaly English text which
reads "Sera" or Japanese text with the symbols for "Se-ra?" I'm sorry that I
don't have a clue..

What's this? Someone's actually MSTed that piece of sh*t story "It's Gonna Be a
Real
Green Day"? YAAAAAAY!!!! I was actually thinking of ASKING someone to MST
that for me, because it's so incredibly bad and deserves to be made fun of. How

(BTW, in case you don't know already, I wrote that story, and I'm glad to see
that
someone's finally MSTed it (deservedly so, in my opinion) because it's terrible
and
it has nothing to do with Sonic. It's even worse than the "Sonic Fights
Robotnik" series.
No kidding.)

Hehe, okay, that clears it up. I like

the best answer is "I don't know".)
There's three types of writing:

Kanji: A form a writing taken from
Chinese influence. It's sorta like
hyroglyphics, the current characters
were from pictures.

Hiragana: Standard Japanese writing,
sorta like cursive for them. Hiragana
and Kanji are moreso used.

Katakana: Used chiefly for loan words
and for emphisis (as we use CAPTIAL
LETTERS..sorry.. I couldn't resist)

>Yeah, "loan word" sounds good. The Japanese do not have the characters
to
>spell out "Sonic" so they mix up their characters to spell out something
>similar, "So-ni-kku," or something like that.

That's mostly correct. Japanese
does not have the letter "l" or normally
"v" (the v katakana row was just added).
ALL of their characters end in a vowel.
All of them save for the character n.
Shi and Tsu are the weirder characters,
the rest are two letters, a constanant
and a vowel.

Ka Ki Ku Ke Ko
Sa Shi Su Se So.. etc..

So, "So" "Ni" "tsuKu". Since there's
an emphisis on the "ku" or the "c"
in Sonic, the k is doubled with a
little "tsu" character, making it
So-ni-kku.

And the same thing with
>"Sarah," it goes "Se-ra." Because the Japanese characters do not have silent

That's because Japanese children
learn english starting in the grammar
school years. Most will learn 3 to 4
languages total.

Japanese text. If anyone's intrested,
I could scan my Katakana sheet.

Actually, I don't think it's terrible, it's an average story, no more and
no less. It just hasn't anything to do with _Sonic_, as I told you long
ago (good that you realized it). :)

But the Sonic Fights Robotnik stuff, that's _really_ bad.

Yeah, but SonicFan's comics seem to have been badly written the first 2 times,
then afterward he just mocked them to annoy us.

But Gonterman!!
You'd either have to be a suck up or not have a brain to enjoy this crap!!
