You know, Sonic Fan's are actually the only FanFiction I've ever read.. And
although everything you say is true, I do not see what your problem is. ^_^;
I have never read an MST of Sonic Fights Robotnik whatever, because there's
no way it could be less stupid than the original story. They are SO
phenominally dumb I believe you would have to be an idiot and a jerk to make
fun of it in any sane way. I mean, the flaws are so glaringly obvious,
there's no sense in pointing them out (unless maybe you want to talk about
improper subordinate clauses or something..) and anything wise-ass is gonna
come off just like that, wise-ass and cruel.

As for Greenday, Mtn. Dew, and so on and so on, all that stuff that "doesn't
exist on mobius," well, it's not REAL Sonic continuity. Why bother writing
for that? Do you really consider fan-fiction to be a part of the genuine
Sonic universe? NO! It's just a story about Sonic you wrote to entertain
people. Maybe not even about Sonic, maybe you think your fan-made character
is a real part of the Sonic universe.. And judging from the responce Sonic
Fan gets, he's succeeded. People seem to like it.. or like hating it... The
Sonic comic I made (try http://www.ellensburg.com/~katharin ) that people
refuse to comment on no matter how many times I mention it in passing takes
place outside any Sonic Universe, (It's closer to "SegaSonic" [that's a name
I don't care for..]) and it should be glaringly so. In fact, I wince
everytime someone even uses the term "tangent universe," it's a concept that
I consider sooooo basic that it does not need acknowledgement, just recognize
it and shutup.

I think people need to look at something for it's own value, not how it
differs in story-type, art-type, etc-type content from what already exists.
The Sonic anime is unlike any other Sonic, and it pisses me off to know end
when anyone nitpicks the fact that it is "it's own thing." Virtually any
adaptation of a video game or anything else always strays from its source
eventually, and like it or hate it (in my case the SatAM Sonic. It doesn't
just offend my beliefs as what "true Sonic" is, it also is, in my
HUMBLE-not-to-be-refuted opinion, a dumb show.) you have to see it for what
it is on its own, not how it relates to things made by other people (Unless
it is supposed to relate..).

I don't know if this made any sense or not, but MY rant's almost done. ^_^
The point is one of human creativity, no two humans think alike, and anytime
you create something it undoubtedly fits into it's own universe, your take on
something is different from someone elses. We create our own universe(s), oh
yes indeed we do. Philosophers (Sophists, actually) would say that our own
interpretations of reality are different, no person can see something exactly
the way another person can see it. I could prattle on THIS topic endlessly,
so I'll cut out now ^_-

I suppose I was supposed to be talking about Sonic Fan, but it mixes in
enough stuff that's been bugging me that I just had to explode.. that
sentence made no sense... Anyway, .. uhh... brainfreeze, crap. Probably
wasn't important. Bye.
