Dear Iosif Vissarionovich,
Today I spoke to comrade L.P.Beria on telephone. He told me that he had
a word with you about my affairs that I mentioned to him in a letter.
Lavrentiy Pavlovich told me, that you took my suggestion very
compassionately. All my affairs are going well at the moment. In June I
am getting a flat of 5 rooms. In July - dacha in Kratovo and, besides,
60.000 roubles for settlement. This cheered me up a lot. Please accept
my very hearty gratitude for your attention and care. I wish you
happiness, health and long life for the sake of our beloved Motherland,
our great people.

So, DSCH wasn't so much suppressed by 'terrible' Stalin, after all? In
fact, this letter proves quite opposite, he quite enjoyed luxury flat,
then 'dacha' and a VERY CONSIDERABLE sum of money from authorities by
personal order of Stalin.
