Who knew? A pro-life, anti-fur, atheist might just have a weirder set of
opinions that even me.

I understand that position.

I don't like fur, and I don't have any desire to wear it. But: I have
leather shoes and belts, and car seats and motorcycle jackets, and I'm
about to order a leather couch. And, I eat all sorts of animals. I'd be
a hypocrite if, in between bites of lamb or duckling or ostrich, I
demanded that someone else rethink the morality behind fur.

That said, I think that the cruelty that's alleged to occur in fur
production should be strongly punished when it's discovered, and animals
raised on commercial farms for their fur should be accorded the same
conditions legally required for those animals raised for food.

I'm thinking there's a big difference between killing to eat and
killing to impress a room full of stupid people that are impressed by
fur.

I agree. That said, I don't want to kill my own food. Hell, I catch
and release bass...

That's true. But I don't eat ostrich or wild boar or the other things I
mentioned out of sustenance requirements. I eat them because I like them
- and they happen also to provide nutrition.

I have *zero* desire to shoot an animal, even to eat. I'm not a fan of
fishing, but for some reason I'd be fine catching, killing, cleaning, and
eating a fish.

And happen to be food that you need to exist. Regardless of the
color. I mean, christ, if you're eating dog you're eating it. It
doesn't make you the same as Michael Vick.

I don't like to fish because I don't like to eat fish. Same with dear
hunting.

I *would* go fishing if there was a chance I could hook a 4 pound
porterhouse.

Fishing has so little to do with eating fish, dude. Out in the
Everglades with a cooler full of beer and just checking out the
wildlife is such therapy from the grind. It butches up my
birdwatching hobby...

You could catch one, but then you'd have to clean it...
