I agree with you that I don't find rapefics at all arousing. But not
all "rapefics" are mindless tentacle-rubbish. Everything depends on
the author's skill and sensitivity. In a fanfic, if used correctly,
rape can be, and is, a very effective tool if a story is supposed to
be really angsty -- and I'm a bit of an angst-bunny. I like angst, as
long as the hurt/comfort equation gets its share of comfort too. But I
find rape to be just one of many effective tools to be used
occasionally as a fanfic writer to get inside people's heads and to
explore characterization.

I DON'T like the general "Oh, I'm getting raped and I'm loving it"
fics. YUCK.

For me, it depends on what fandom it's being written in. And also on
the quality of the writing. A good writer will generally put a little
explanation/motivation into the so-called PWP, and of course good
writing helps too.

Same here. That is something I cannot bear beyond anything. I can
stand several disgusting things more than I can stand pedophilia (or
bestiality, even with a sentient cat!)

Cheers!
