The Usagi & Chibiusa Bath Scene...

I may be the only person who noticed this, but in the first episode
featuring Chibiusa, they cut to a shot where Usagi's sitting in the tub,
when suddenly a few bubbles rise up from the water coming from about where
her midsection would be.
This is rather suggestive of something... Something rather obscene, but
comical at the same time.
Don't believe me? Well, Usagi herself lends credibility to it by
looking at these bubbles oddly, followed by her leaning over and curiously
sniffing these bubbles after they've popped.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I misinterpreting something?
I dunno.

In a word, yes, you're right. Theres tons of toilet humor in anime -
thankfully you don't find too much of it in Sailor Moon, but its
there.
Watch Patlabor OAV #6 - theres a MUCH funnier and crazier version of
this same joke in there.
I don't think the Japanese regard this kind of thing as too "obscene",
or you wouldn't for example, have Akko-chan (in Himitsu no Akko-chan)
getting peed on by a dog.. (this is a real little-kids show, too..) or
show Tsuyoshi and Aho-nabe peeing against a wall in Tsuyoshi Shikkari
Shinasai (a very family-oriented type show ^o^)..
Nor are bathroom scenes unusual, even in shows for kids - there are
several examples in Creamy Mami (Yuu falls into the tub chasing a pair
of kittens whi did NOT want a bath) and Pastel Yuumi (Yuumi opens the
bathroom window to talk to her friend Kanta-kun, forgetting she isn't
wearing anything.. he gets splashed when he sees..)
By the way, there is another Chibi-Usa and Usagi bath scene late in
Sailor Moon S - they actually show Usagi washing her hair on the
floor and Chibi Usa stepping out of the tub...
