A funny little thing happened on the way to the Drudge Report.

Over the years, I've had a chance to speak to the hyper reclusive Matt
Drudge.
If I come across a story that I think he might like, I send him a
note and a link.
Usually, I do so by posting it in his "send news tips to Drudge" box
on the lower left corner of his page.

I've been told that when Matt first began his page, all of the links
were items he discovered on his own, however, now many if not most of
the links that are on his page come from friends and others via the
news tip box. Apparently, he sorts through them and uses the ones he
likes.

Recently, I posted a link to Matt's news tip box, and hit send where
upon I got something I had never seen before! "ERROR 501 SERVICE NOT
AVAILABLE" Hmmmmmmmm, what did that mean?

Being a little suspicious, I changed my IP instantly, and tried
again. This time, the news tip was "accepted".

It appears that Matt Drudge has now modified his news tip window so
that if he doesn't like your tips, he flags your address and the next
time you send a tip,you get the above sweet little message in big bold
letters: SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE. How funny!

So...either the service was indeed unavailable for a period of time,
and by the time you switched your address it was back up again...
OR ...
You're claiming Matt Drudge doesn't want anything to do with your
"tips" anymore.

Interesting...

Are you serious that you do not know what a 501 error is?

This is a standard response from a server that has received
information in a format it is not expecting.

No. You missed the entire point.

The entire point is that even Drudge knows you're a nut case.

No, I got the point that you tried to build some political point out
of a simple error message. Your ignorance is clearly larger than I
thought.

You'd be "worth" a flush.

HA HA! You latch on to every opportunity, don't you?
If you're going to try to be insulting, don't make yourself look
stupid in the process.
