How exactly, did he violate the Constitution? Be specific.

So? You still haven't told us how Sen Nelson violated the Constitution.
There is certainly nothing in the Constitution that prohibits
congressmen from meeting with foreign heads of state.
So you're either a liar or you know nothing about the Constitution.
Which is it? Most likely both. There is nothing more pathetic then a
neo-con spouting off about the Constitution when in likelihood he's
never even read it.
Maybe you should just keep your mouth shut when you don't know what
you're talking about. Better for you to keep quiet then make an ass of
yourself in from of the entire world.

While you weren't paying attention, Bush attached another "signing
statement" to the Constitution. Billary is now allowed to tell lies
as big and as often as Dear Leader Bush.

Nelson's doing his job. What part of that don't you understand,
Pedophillary?
Bush is incapable of diplomacy. Someone has to do the republican's jobs.
<nothing of any importance>
Hey, Billary. Senators have been going on fact-finding
missions and meeting with the leaders of foreign countries
for years. Show me where, in the Constitution, it says
that they can't.
Suck it up, loser.
How'd the election work out for you?
Some wise sage or two once said that "a house divided against itself cannot
long stand."
That is sage talk for advising that a united front should be shown to
everyone outside the family. This is a well-known operating principle of the
Mafia, and prior to the overthrow of the regular Democrat party and it's
take-over by the liberal socialistic Democrats, it used to be the guiding
principle for members of the US governmental hierarchy.
Having a blowhard poltician (they are all blowhard politicians) show up in a
foreign land seeking council with the heads of unfriendly foreign
governments has its drawbacks - unless said fat head was officially sent on
a mission by the executive branch to curry favor with a foreign unfriendly
government.
Absent any evidence that said blowhard politican is on a mission for his
president, it would behoove most folks to assign the blowhard's official
status to that a somewhat conceited senatorial busy body doing whatever it
can to screw up the situation for strictly political purposes. That is being
nice.
Should it eventually be revealed that said busy body was dealing with
foreign enemies for the purpose of undermining the authority of, or the
position as leader of the president of the United States for cheap political
purposes, the president should immediately move to have the sucker declared
a traitor and have him arrested, and charged with treason.
A senator of the United States should not need to be informed of the serious
nature of any personal negotiations with foreign enemies, and anyone who
thinks Basher Assad is a friend of the United States needs to have his head
examined.
For that matter, ordinary citizens have been travelling - as tourists,
missionaries, business people, etc - around the world for years. If
they want an audience with a foreign leader and the foreign leader is
willing to receive them, then why do they need President Bush's
approval. Why should Senator Nelson be any different?
I wonder when Billary will b*tch about that jerk ex-President George H.
W. Bush's cowboy diplomacy. Setting foreign policy is the exclusive
domain of the current president and not of ex-presidents.

Since when do you right wingers care about the constitution?
Bush spent years shredding that document while you and your ilk looked
the other way. Now you claim a power for the president that doesn't
exist. Senators have always met with foreign leaders. If you want to
condemn Nelson, you must condemn every other senator.
I understand you'll use the word "negotiate" to make you point, but
there's nothing in the news stories suggesting he's negotiating anything.
On one hand Bush has a long history of lying to congress about
intelligence and when Democrats supported him because they believed
those lies you use that against them.
Now, when they seek the truth directly from the source you attack them
yet again. It seems the only truth you want is the truth spoken by the
right wing hate machine that helped take us to war in the first place.
Their credibility and the credibility of Bush lay in ruin - not because
of anything Nelson did or didn't do, but because they lied us into a war
for no reason.

Dec. 5: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Commissioner Giulliano Zaccardelli
is sworn in, before he testifies about the Maher Arar case in Ottawa,
Canada.
TORONTO — Canadian police said Tuesday they had told U.S. authorities
they had no evidence an Ottawa software engineer was an Al Qaeda agent
before Washington deported him to Syria , where he was tortured.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Commissioner Giuliano Zaccardelli said
police initially told U.S. authorities Syrian-born Maher Arar was a "man
of interest" and may have ties to Islamic extremists but they later told
Washington they had no evidence to support those allegations.
Yet U.S. authorities went ahead and deported Arar to his native Syria,
where he says he was tortured into making false confessions, Zaccardelli
told a public security hearing in the capital Ottawa.
"RCMP investigators clearly informed U.S. officials that there was no
evidence to support criminal charges against Mr. Arar in Canada, that he
could not be prevented from entering Canada, and that we were unable to
link him to Al Qaeda," Zaccardelli said.
The 34-year-old Arar was traveling on a Canadian passport in 2002 when
he was detained at New York's Kennedy Airport during a stopover on his
way home to Canada from a vacation in Tunisia. Without informing Canada,
the U.S. government turned Arar over to Syria where he was tortured,
tossed in a small cell and finally released after nearly a year of
confinement.

Canada's police chief quits in extraordinary-rendition case

TORONTO — The head of Canada's national police resigned today, a day
after he gave contradictory testimony about the force's handling of a
case in which a Canadian citizen was deported by the United States to
Syria where he was tortured.
On Tuesday, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Commissioner Giuliano
Zaccardelli said he got his facts wrong when he testified at a House of
Commons committee in September about when he first knew that Canadian
police had passed erroneous information to U.S. authorities about Maher
Arar.
"Commissioner Zaccardelli submitted his resignation to me and I have
accepted it," Prime Minister Stephen Harper said. "The commissioner has
indicated to me that it would be in the best interests of the RCMP to
have new leadership."
Zaccardelli appeared before a Parliament committee on Tuesday to "set
the record straight," as he put it, about when he knew police had passed
erroneous information to the United States that led to Arar's
deportation to Syria as a suspected al-Qaida agent.
Zaccardelli indicated in testimony on Sept. 28 that he knew of that
mistake shortly after Arar was deported in 2002. But on Tuesday he said
he had been mistaken and did not become aware of it until a Canadian
government commission issued a report this year.
Arar was detained at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport in 2002 during a
stopover on his way home to Canada from a vacation in Tunisia. The U.S.
turned Arar over to Syria where he says he was tortured, tossed in a
small cell and finally released after nearly a year of confinement.
After his release, Arar made detailed allegations about whippings with
electrical cables that Canadian authorities determined were credible.
A government commission this year concluded that telling U.S.
authorities that Arar was a "man of interest" and might have had ties to
Islamic extremists likely led to his deportation.
Arar was exonerated of all suspicion of terrorist activity and has
become the best-known case of extraordinary rendition — the U.S.
transfer of foreign terror suspects without court approval to third
countries where they can be subjected to torture.
Arar's lawyer, Lorne Waldman, told CBC that Zaccardelli's resignation
"is the first step in the accountability process."
What makes you think that they're terrorists? Are you such a
frightened , cowardly , pathetic little pussy that in exchange for a
false sense of security you'll trust the government to determine who
is and isn't a terrorist?
You don't deserve to live in a free country. Despite freedom hating
morons like you, we are going to fix this issue in the next congress.
We are going to restore the Constitution.
