Just read in this morning's paper that 2 new major polls, (one was a
Time/CNN, I think the other was CBS) show Clinton's lead still at 19-20
points nationally, with very strong leads in California, Florida, and
New York. Even in Texas, a traditionally GOP stronghold, Clinton is in
a virtual dead heat with Bob Dole, at 42% each. The Associated Press
article suggested that the 6 point lead poll, taken last week, was
likely an anomaly.

I know there's still plenty of time left, but you GOP'ers have to be
banging your heads against the wall by now. Whitewater appears to have
had NO effect at all on the race, and even Jack Kemp has come out and
said that Republicans should be carefull not to look like "grumpy old
men."

This FBI business could be a different story, since people can more
easily relate to the privacy issues it involves. But it may be a year
before we get the whole story, especially since Kenneth Starr has now
been assigned to investigate.

Other Thoughts:

I have an idea: Every 4 years, when we elect a President, we should
also elect an "independent investigator" to investigate the inevitable
corruption that will take place. It could be part of a "3-way ticket."
Vote for Clinton/Gore/Darden! (or Dole/Powell/Spence) Something like
that. What do you think?

If Dole has any chance at all, he has learn how to think before he
speaks. The tobacco gaffe comes to mind. ("Some say milk is bad, too")
Also, attributing the cause of domestic violence to the welfare state,
as if people on welfare are the only ones who are victims of domestic
violence. He comes accross as being completely out of touch. Even
though Clinton and his administration may be "ethically challenged," he
is usually very carefull about what he says in public when speaking on
matters of public policy. (excluding archeological findings.)

This post parallels Clinton's entire administration. A header
proclaiming how great things are (symbolism), but when you try to read
the post, nothing (substance).

How fitting.

And here's another example of a conservative reading only what they
want ot see. The header is critical of Clinton, but this conservative
poster reads it as praise.

Typical moronic conservativism at its best.

No kidding.
