“Why are you taking Mexicans' work?"

-- Question asked of a painter, a US citizen, by illegal alien painters

Enough about Me

I want to share an e-mail with all of you who are avid readers of Magic City
Morning Star. "P'd off" didn't sign his name but I'm sure most of you will be
able to identify with this patriot's story. It's truthful, honest and right on
target of what we all are experiencing as a result of a "do nothing"
government. Please note the response from both Senators Boxer and Feinstein. It
clearly is obvious why California is in the mess it's in with these two
"Clueless California" senators! I will be reporting on more stories from
Americans throughout our country as I am inundated with e-mails asking me to
expose their heartfelt stories as a result of "America's Unarmed Invasion." I
will continue with more stories from American citizens who are concerned about
the sovereignty of our country. Enjoy!

The Unmitigated Gall

By P’d Off

The other day as I was measuring a home so that I could work up a bid to be
delivered to the owner. Having completed my measurements, I had just jumped in
my nineteen year old Chevy pick up truck with my last tank of gas desperately
hoping to get this job, as there was only $27.00 now in the company account.
You see I haven't worked in 4 weeks. Well, as I was about to leave I was
approached from across the street by a group of a Hispanic men 1 legalized
alien and his 3 illegal alien painters, who had disembarked from a brand new
Ford F-250 with the bed full of paint, paint buckets, painting materials and
tools. Being approached by illegals in itself is not too uncommon as I'm
approached regularly, usually as I'm bidding or shopping at our local home
improvement super store. They usually ask in broken English if I have work for
them. My usual response is do you have a social security card? The usual answer
is no. But that does not deter them from asking. They are usually, but not
always dressed in “whites” splattered with paint in different colors as
they are obviously working, unlike me. But this time it was different; these
insurgents did not want to ask me for work, but wanted to ask me something I
had only heard three times in the past couple years. And I quote. “Why are
you taking Mexicans work”? I don't think they expected my response. With my
truck in gear and a clear path ahead I responded saying; I had been painting
houses since I was sixteen years old, well before California seceded from the
United States to Mexico! The ringleaders tone of voice changed to something
menacing as he asked if I hated Mexicans. At this point my tone of voice
changed as well.

I told him that I did not hate Mexicans. Mexicans live in Mexico and that when
they want to visit the United States they ask permission. When permission is
given there is usually a certain time limit given. And like a good neighbor
when their time is up they leave, thankful for being given the opportunity to
visit the greatest nation on the face of the Earth. And the ones that don't
leave are criminals and felons. Not wanting to push my luck, as I was alone I
gunned the gas and lit out of there post haste.

Looking in the rear view mirror I saw them rushing to their truck, but as they
were facing the other way, they had no chance to catch me. I know full well
that if I had stayed I would more than likely have become just another all too
common statistic. Remember they bring their "family values with them." If I do
get this job (unlikely as it is), I will be there alone working with a bad back
as I cannot afford to hire employees because Workman's comp in California is
about 42% of payroll, on top of about 24% payroll taxes plus general liability
insurance etc. All of which makes compliance with the law impossible if you
want to hire employees and be competitive. Which is about $5700.00 for a
2-bedroom house. I would have to charge so much for labor that my little
company would not survive a month. The only ones working would be unlicensed
contractors, illegal aliens and licensed contractors that hire illegal aliens
and work under the table. By the way that's the way it is now. Out of the last
16 bids I delivered 11 jobs went to illegal aliens, 2 jobs went to unlicensed
contractors and 1 job went to a licensed contractor that hired illegal aliens,
and is working under the table. And I did get a day’s work given to me by a
patriotic American willing to be charitable. Since when did getting a job
become charity? I have written my representatives and got back cookie cutter
responses saying that the illegals provide labor that Americans wont do. Below
are the two lying responses from two traitorous government officials.

Dear Mr. *%#@:

Please know that I have received your letter and understand your concerns about
illegal immigration. I appreciate you taking the time to write to me about an
issue so important to our State.

As a member of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, I will
continue to work hard to address the issue of illegal immigration and the
impact it has on California's resources. I support legal immigration and
believe we must work to prevent illegal immigration. Change takes time but I
will continue to lead and support efforts to curtail illegal immigration.

Again, thank you for writing. I hope you will continue to keep in touch on
issues of importance to you. If you have any further questions or comments,
please do not hesitate to contact my Washington, DC staff at (202) 224-3841.

Sincerely yours,

Diane Feinstein
United States Senator

Dear Mr. *%#@:

Thank you for sharing your views about immigration with me. I recognize the
unique situation California faces regarding both legal and illegal immigration.

I firmly believe that legal immigrants make many valuable contributions to our
great nation. Through our diversity, we find our strength. For this reason, I
support an open policy toward legal immigration.

However, I share your concerns regarding the number of illegal immigrants who
enter our country every year. I understand the impact that illegal immigrants
have on our state, which is particularly vulnerable in its position along the
Mexican border. The federal government should make greater efforts to secure
our borders, and I support the funding necessary to do so.

Moreover, to make sure the federal government fulfills its obligation to
states, I have cosponsored a bill to authorize funds for the State Criminal
Alien Assistance Program, which reimburses states for incarcerating illegal
immigrants.

Please be assured that I will work to ensure adequate funding for efforts to
stop the flow of illegal immigrants into our country and to help states bear
the financial costs associated with illegal immigration.

Again, thank you for writing.

Sincerely,

Barbara Boxer
United States Senator

If you believe these two career politicians are truly concerned about the
plight of American workers I have a bridge to sell you cheap! Just look at
their voting record on immigration issues. Who speaks for this unemployed
contractor? Well, obviously not them. My God, this man is starving and that's
all they can say. If they were truly concerned they would have written a
different response. At least they could have asked if this gentleman wanted
them to help him get welfare or something, but of course welfare and free
medical is only for illegal aliens and felons not Americans willing to work but
are denied the opportunity. By the way have you ever tried to go to the
emergency room for treatment? You have to sit there for an average of eleven
hours showing your insurance coverage card all the while illegal aliens get
treated first and not even asked for insurance coverage.

As a California contractor I find it very suspicious that any American Citizen
would consider not arresting, jailing and deporting illegal aliens. As a
contractor it is difficult enough to find work at a fair price, let alone
having to compete with these Illegal aliens. As an American painter of 27 yrs.
I find getting work very difficult to find because our local contractors don't
hire American-born, Non-Hispanic workers for these reasons.

They can hire illegal aliens for a fraction of what Americans would consider a
living wage.
They don't have to report them as employees to workers comp.
No payroll Taxes.
No taxes because they (the contractor and laborer) work under the table,
cheating you and everyone out of the revenue and putting Americans out of work
while eating up our tax dollars through government programs.
I would consider the contractors and our government officials traitors by not
actively seeking out these Insurgents and removing them from your cities and
towns.

When I as an American (I'm Sorry) Painter of 27 years can't find work while
they consider welcoming illegal aliens to the workforce while ignoring the law
and putting me out of work and stealing my BIRTH RIGHT it’s outrageous.
Fifteen years ago I was earning $15.00 per hour as a painter, and now even as a
contractor, I find it difficult to earn $10.00 Per hour. For example. I bid a
job and two days later find illegal aliens or contractors that hire them on the
job site working for less than half of the price that I bid for. They are
working under the table. Or I find one of our local contractors on the job
under bidding me because they hire these illegal aliens below minim wage
without pulling permits or buying bonds or insurance.

How about this ...

What if you came to work one day and your boss told you that you were fired and
two days later you found out that your ex-boss had hired three illegal aliens
in your place, and then you couldn't find work anywhere at 47 yrs. of age
because all the local employers hire only illegal aliens at $8.00 a hr. or less
and wouldn't hire you at $21.00 with all the usual expenses like insurance or
social security! It has happened and is happening to me! I used to live in an
apartment, pay taxes, was able to at least live from pay check to pay check
knowing that I, at least, had social security to rely on in my old age so I
could afford dog food to eat; but now I don't even have that. I live in a
trailer park (in a 31 ft. 5th wheel trailer). I know of many Americans who were
and are unable to even afford the $465.00 a month to live here and now live on
the street in their broken down R.V's. because no one will hire us Americans
(I'm sorry). We used to make fair wages ($15.00 to $21.00 per hr), and at least
had the opportunity to pay taxes. Here's my question. What does a man do when
he has nothing to lose and the Constitution's Bill of Rights #2 is still in
effect? Either he buys a gun and goes to Washington with 10,000 angry Americans
(I'm Sorry) - Or they band together and in one night they go through their city
and take matters into their own hands unannounced. I hope to God this does not
happen.

Things are approaching these conditions as I write. Our elected officials,
whose jobs are secure and can't be taken by illegals, are blind to the
condition of us Americans (I'm Sorry), but not to the foreigners who INVADE our
job market putting Americans (I'm sorry), into the very same poverty that they
say they are concerned about for illegal aliens.

Here is a simple solution to two problems. Illegal aliens and drugs. We should
pass a law that reads something like this. If you turn in a drug dealer or an
illegal alien, the person that does get every thing the drug dealer or illegal
alien owns less the expense of arresting them. And if any business does any
buying or selling even food to Illegals they lose their business and there is a
mandatory 5 yr. Prison term at hard labor. Our problem would disappear over
night. We would not have the expense of removing Illegals because the
conditions they would have to live in HERE would be far worse than where they
came from and they would leave the same way they came, (on foot) and drug
dealers would be gone over night. I say get on the ball or the ball might get
you!

Let me ask these questions:

Our leaders speak of their desire to help the illegal immigrants of people in
Mexico and other countries to work in this country in order to put food on
their families' tables. Would you please address the matter of millions of
American families willing to do jobs in construction, meatpacking, janitorial
services, restaurant and hotel work, as well as other trades? They too, would
like to put food on their families' tables.
And how do you propose to pay for the education of the children and health care
for the families and other services that these foreign workers will do (the
JOBS AMERICANS WILL NOT DO)?
The massive legal and illegal invasion has impacted every aspect of our lives.
It is estimated that for every hundred Illegals hired, 70-80 Americans are
permanently displaced. We've got to face the fact that a conspiracy exists
among big business in seeking cheap labor and radicals in search of votes.
There is an obvious agenda. And militant Hispanics are frank about their intent
to build a political base and thus redefine our political structure. They shout
their demand that the US cede back to Mexico the area that comprises a mythical
land they call "Aztlan" - the seven states of California, Nevada, Texas, Utah,
New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado. They call it "Mex-America."

Whenever our dedicated border patrol conducts a sweep of Illegals, our American
people shout out their support. They know that the only thing that will stop
the invasion is stiff immigration laws. They know that by ignoring the problem
and granting all forms of amnesty and other concessions we will lose the
battle.

The eminent philosopher Mortimer Adler said the two greatest threats to the
survival of the US are a potential enemy nuclear attack and the massive
invasion of illegal aliens who fail to assimilate into our culture. Meanwhile
the illegal invasion of America continues. I said it 40 years ago; I say it
again today: It's high time we enforce our immigration laws.

Anti-American groups like La Raza, the Mexican American Legal Defense Education
Fund (MALDEF), the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and MEChA - aided
and abetted by the ACLU - are battling us on U.S. soil, screaming racism if
anyone protests illegal migration and promoting their agenda "Reconquista of
Aztlan," and are attempting to tear our country apart using our very own court
system.
