He needed to keep them secret. Not only to avoid being shot down by
the dirty laundry in them but also to avoid any prosecution after
failing to get the presidency. He got away with it scot free.

Wasn't he suddenly for it in the last debate, or at least parts of
it? Too little too late, though.
Bradley...Romney did show his tax returns. He showed them weeks ago. I'm want to
see Obama's tax returns. What about his huh huh? Obama has lot more money then
Romney does. Or did you know that. You bet he does. But Obama wants to divide
the classes. Rich and middle class. Well Obama is rich. So is his buddy John Kerry.
John Kerry is more richer then George Bush Jr. Did you know that. Yup. Kerry
and his wife Teresa Hines are worth $1b. Bush is worth about $2m.
Carl is a perfect example of the gullibility and willful-ignorance of
the far-right.
He *believes* Romney showed his tax returns, when he fact he just
showed *summaries* of two years of them, never showing the actual
forms themselves.
Carl also implies -- from his saying he wants to see Obama's tax
records -- that the President never showed his. Yet as was pointed
out to him, there are 12 years of Obama's tax forms on the Internet,
at Obama's official site.
This is what progressives are always up against with the far-right
when trying to argue with them -- their choice of *belief* over
*fact*; the irrational over the rational.
