Mitt Romney said he could not compete with the trillion dollars Obama
borrowed from the Chinese to give gifts to voters. When you consider
the magnitude of Chinese money given to minorities and the underclass,
Mitt Romney didn’t have a snowball's chance in hell. One survey
revealed that 75% of Obama’s voters were on food stamps. Obama’s
regime has started an avalanche of “taking”, as he borrows billions
more every month from the Chinese. In a way you could call this a
welfare bubble that will burst when everyone gets in on the
selfishness and greed. Unfortunately when this welfare bubble bursts,
much like it has in Greece, there will be no safety net as that is
what is going to burst. What you have left then is simply revolution,
violence, poverty, hunger, and mass death. I don’t blame Obama, I
blame the voters who voted for him as they are the ones responsible
for the nations destruction.

The reason we have a republic rather than a democracy is that our
elected officials are supposed to temper the selfish desires of the
masses and to temper the tyranny of the majority.
Our elected officials ARE to blame, not the dumb masses.

Willard forgot to mention the biggest gift of all: his 14% tax rate.
So if there is a problem here, he's definitely a big part of it.

Oh, so you're one of the retards that wants to lower revenues so Hussein can play his destructive Marxist class warfare.
Get out of my country. You don't deserve to be an American.

You got everything right except the white women who went overwhelmingly for Hussein.

Who elected those officials for promising free goodies to the masses?
The people elected the ones they deserve.
If their motivation was to obtain free healthcare, more foodstamps and
a paycheck to sit at home(whether they will actually receive it or
not) then they share just as much of the blame as the idiots that are
destroying the nation from within the government.
"Don't blame me just because I voted for them" is far from being a
legitimate excuse for voting the nation into bankruptcy.

Republics never work, which explains why you don't see a successful
one anywhere in the world, including the US. Democracy demands that
the "dumb" masses be treated fairly and equally and respectfully
against the handful of fat cats out to ruin their lives. Republics
are only for fat cats, they do nothing for everybody else.

Once again, you expressed your ignorance.
Picture the old-time western movie:
An accused man is being held inside a jail cell;
Outside is a mob with a rope asking for the prisoner;
Standing on the porch, in front of the jail house door, is a lone
sheriff with a shotgun.
The Sheriff represents a republic, the rule of law.
The mob with the rope represents democracy, the rule of the masses,
tyranny of the majority, mob rule.

The sheriff is George Bush who refuses to hang the accused banker for
crashing the economic livelihood of the town that has ruined
everyone's lives because Sheriff Bush allowed it to happen. The mob
is right in seeing that the accused - who everyone knows is guilty
because he ran the only bank in town and stole everyone's money - and
even Sheriff Bush gets hanged, and gets hanged high.
But yeah, thanks for stumbling back into the irrelevant 1800s to make
a piss-poor analogy to 21st century times. Only Repugnants seem to be
able to keep clawing back to the past, the way forgotten past, to make
a pointless point.

Now you will list all those successful 'true democracies', eh?

This was written nearly 200 years ago but could not be more prophetic than it is today.
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years."

Would you like a list of republics, or will you admit you're wrong simply by realizing that San Marino has been a republic since the year 301?

Yeah, nice. The problem with that, though, is that the US isn't a
democracy. It's a republic, and yet its still finding itself voting
for largesse from the public treasury. Oops, the US is doomed
according to Tocqueville.

That in spite of your statement above, republics work and one in particular has worked for over 1,700 years.

Sure, it's easy to make a republic of just 25 square miles and 30,000
people work for 1,700 years. Everyone's like family - and the same
language and color too. Throw in some blacks, more than you're
comfortable with, and latinos, more than you're comfortable with as
well, and religious basket cases of every religious stripe, multiply
the population 10 thousandfold and the land mass by 95 million times
and then see how well a republic really functions.

You've previously redefined "always" to mean "some of the time". Are you now claiming "never" is synonymous?

Care to frame it within the context I actually used it in and apply
that to whatever you're trying to suggest just to see if you know what
the hell you're talking about? It must be way past your bedtime now
for you to be thinking coherently because you're getting much too
vague and oblique.

You got one thing wrong, one thing right, and a third thing partially
right.
The part you got wrong:
", it's easy to make a republic ... work for 1,700 years.
Everyone's... the same language and color too.
If you had read James Madison in "The Federalist Papers" you would
have found that the reason for a republic is to protect the minority
from tyranny of the majority. It is a democracy that will work well
when " Everyone's like family - and the same language and color too."
The part you got right:
"multiply the population 10 thousandfold "
Once again, if you had read "The Federalist Papers", you would have
found that our FEDERAL government was to be a very minor part of the
governance and was to be insignificant until it was needed in time of
war. The intent of our country was that the governance was to take
place at the state and local level where " Everyone's like family "
The part you got partially right:
" It's a republic, and yet its still finding itself voting for
largesse from the public treasury. Oops, the US is doomed according
to Tocqueville. "
ONLY the Representatives were supposed to be elected by the PEOPLE;
that is why they are called "Representatives". The President and the
Senators were supposed to be elected by the States to protect
"States' Powers"; Once again, if you had read "The Federalist
Papers", there was a concern by the Anti-Federalists that the Federal
Government would usurp power from the States. The Federalist Papers
answered this concern by stating, How can the Federal Government usurp
power from the States? The Federal powers are defined and limited.
The only way the Federal government can gain power is if the States
gave away their power to the Federal Government, and why would they do
that? (paraphrased because I don't want to waste time looking for the
exact passage for an idiot who will ague that it is wrong)
The way that the Federal government has USURPED power is by the States
giving the power of the States' to the people. The worst Amendment
in the Constitution is the 17th Amendment that made the election of
the Senate by the Will of the People, the "will of the masses", the
tyranny of the majority
I don't think the United States is doomed. It will simply become an
also-ran just as England transformed from the world leader to an also-
ran. That will happen when China's GDP exceeds the US and when there
are only 2 workers supporting each retiree (in 2033)
