yes, bush HAS turned his back on the everglades. and, if
he vetoes a $21 billion federal water preservation bill , and "being
too expensive", he has turned his back on the american people as
well..
shoot $21 billion is just a drop in the bucket compared to the $650
plus billion he has had no problem spending on his Iraq and
Afghanistan excursions....

Time........ regarding Bush's threat to veto the much hearlded federal
water preservation bill

*beginning of the except from that article, for fair use and

Once again, it's President Bush against just about everyone else. This
time, he's vowing to veto the Water Resources Development Act, a
wildly popular collection of 940 Army Corps of Engineers projects,
including $3.5 billion for post-Katrina Louisiana and $2 billion for
the Florida Everglades. The House passed it Wednesday night in a
381-40 squeaker, and the Senate vote should be similar; archliberal
Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chair Barbara Boxer of
California and archconservative ranking Republican James Inhofe of
Oklahoma can't agree on the color of the sky, but they're both
pledging to override a veto.
*end of the except from that article, for fair use and
educational purposes
at least it appears that sanity will out in this case, and the veto by
the madman and maniac from Texas will be overridden!
you know how it is with republican presidents though.... make a mess,
and leave it for someone else to clean up.
right, ronald reagan?
%%%% The everglades are Florida's problem.

| right, ronald reagan?
by the same rationale, david, GWBush made the mess with the arabs due
to his negative rhetoric toward them (he even admitted so himself,
lately), and it's not the taxpayers of the US's problem.
correctomundo? yeah, thanks for agreeing with me bucky. just send
the bill to bush, cheney, rumsfeld, petraeus, etc.
That is my position with katrina and the floods in the midwest. The weather
made thoses messes, not our responsibility.
On the other hand, we should do all we can for Iraq. Cheney wants a strong
economy, more jobs, and low unemployment in Iraq. He is a good man.

Exactly, I am writing in Cheney's name in the election, we need to take care
of other countries and spend our money there. If an American is having a
problem, he probably caused it himself, he made his bed, he can sleep in it.

%%%% Correct.

"In an ideal world, the Federal government would live up to it's charter to
provide for the common defense, promote the general national welfare, and
arbitrate disputes among the States. Of course that's unlikely to happen

and the payoff of pork politics." - Gary Coffman

OMFG!!!
no, he does not deal in reality.... too many drugs!
I plonked Moffitt some time ago. After he claimed that NYU had no
campuses in Manhattan I posted their home page showing the main campus
was in Greenwich Village. Moffitt said this proved he was right.
In previous threads he regularly tried to back up his fantasies by
either saying he had already posted proof, posting links with no bearing
to his claims, posting the google home page or the always popular "where
did you serve?"
Interesting how he often replies by bringing up his two favorite
topics,guns and homosexuality.
you don't suspect he could be one of those "closet republicans" as far
as homosexuality goes,do you george? like idaho former senator larry
craig was?
mmmmmm
Is he fer or agin them? Inquiring mind want to know.

Isn't that kind of gay?
Tartarus
Anybody who believes a male nurse means he is gay is mentally ill or
ignorant.
%%%% Yep! I have found that those that snicker about a male nurse usually
make far less money than the nurse does. I retired at age 57, Tartarus will
have to wait until he is too old to do anything before he retires to the
projects and welfare.
%%%% To retire at 57, how can that be gay?
Have you told that to all those Republican governors who declare
their states disaster areas and demand federal bailout money even
before the hurricanes make landfall? Boy are you dumb.
%%%% Yes my income did make me capable of retiring early.

I didn't say Moffitt was gay. I asked if being a male nurse was kind
of gay. Is it your contention that male nursing is not a bit gay?
Tartarus
%%%% Not at all. There are many men in the nursing profession, more than
people realize. Most times people think we are doctors. Have you ever been
put to sleep? Odds are that man was a nurse.
Is it your contention that male nursing is not a bit gay?
%%%% No it's not gay. Why do you think it's gay?

Every time I have been put under, an anesthesiologist administered the
anesthesia and monitored me. However, I have been treated by PAs, and
had a CAT scan done by a radiologist and a technician. Are these the
same as male nurses?
Tartarus
and you are just plain gay anyway, right yarmulke wearer?
