I am lucky to be staying up to speed with you two, I guess at this
point we have a better idea of what happened to Kit. It all seemed
like a combination of the Hashish Assassins paradise with the Houri
and an episode of love boat, where is Andy Warhol?
I think that Pynchon likes the idea of playing around with
Coleridge's theme of the Rime of the Ancient Mariner . He did
something similar in Gravity's Rainbow. the S.S. Anubis, a ghost ship
maundering around the Atlantic in maritime. By the way I enjoyed both
of your submissions of found articles, and I have to tell you about
two movies that blew my mind. One was Raul Ruiz
directed called A Sailor and Three Crowns( the theme is precisely the
one I refered to earlier) and
a Jean Luc Goddard film from 1967 named Weekend. I can tell you one
thing Goddard doesn't
like Sunday drivers. Untill next time Bon Voyage.
