But he does espouse in the heresy of Giordano Bruno, so I guess that's
something...?

I'm not sure what's worse, the lyrics or the thought that space is
populated by Christian Scientist aliens.

Yeah man, that is devilishly weird and cute, but are you sure it's not
some parody or put on?

Poe's Law: Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor,
it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE
won't mistake for the real thing. From: http://rationalwiki.com/wiki/Poe's_Law
There was an infamous blog that brought this point up. He finally
relented and dropped a subtle hint that he was a parodist. Oh, now I
remember: the blog is called Anti-Spore (i.e. against the Spore game
which lets you evolver your own creatures. Evolution is godless,
y'know.) http://antispore.com/
And there are many others, most less subtle. But the real thing is so
nutty, that you can't always tell if it's the real thing. However, if
they get an IRS tax exemption as a church, that's about 99% proof
they're serious.

It's far too freaky to be a parody - it's real:

Hey, they're "scientists", what do you expect in outer space? But did
their Jesus look like them?
