I'm not a Welsh speaker but I found this because I remembered that the hero
of LOH, from the thread the other week, is and sings it at some point in
the narrative. So I looked it up.

The concept of a link isn't modern. It's just been hijacked to mean
something different in the digital age.
I have links with my family stretching back to Ancient Greece, Darwin
postulated evolutionary links, the chainmail surcoat that a friend wears
for battle renactments is made up of links, people play golf on links.
All of these predate the internet and will probably continue when it's dead
and gone.
