I think it would be a good idea if Oingo Boingo released a CD (or double-disk,
depending on the amount of material) of rare/out-of-print/never-before-on-CD
music. I'm sure all the members are well aware that they still have fans... and
for many of us who don't have the cash to shell out for expensive rarities, a
compilation of such tracks on CD would be a nice treat for us.

I totally agree, I've been saying that ever since I found out from Mary that
California Girls (Saw it on Dan's Lyrics Page) was not on any album! Urgh! :)
But, it might be a bit of a bad thing for us who have spent lots of money to
get these rarities ;)

Anyone selling the rare songs for profit should be drawn and quartered!!!

This is where the mp3 archive comes in - I'm working on encoding, are you?

I have a big collection of tapes of concerts, but I worry about the
quality. I'm sure others out there have better cuts of the tapes (or
not so far down the family tree as mine).

i'm sure there are a million really nice people out there who would be
perfectly happy to make copies of songs for anyone who wants for no profit.
check out the trading network or just post something here

Hi folks, this is my first time posting here.

I've been an Oingo Boingo fan since I saw them perform "California Girls" with
the parody lyrics on an HBO special called "George Segal's Best Bets For The
80s", which aired in December 1979.

I've never met anyone else who remembers it or acknowledges its existence.

Is there a boot of this anywhere to be found? I haven't seen it in nearly
twenty years, but it made enough of an impression on me to make me pick up the
10" EP when I found it by chance two years later.

e-mail me if you know anything

Thanks
Later, Rudy

I've heard about this HBO thing they did. I've been looking for it for years,
but alas. . . .

I contacted HBO about a year ago and I didn't even get a response. Good luck.
