the various activist groups have bitten off more
than they can easily chew.
If I were king of the Palestinians, I would focus on
one, limited, well-defined goal: probably, not the
one-and-a-half-state solution, but a one-state

A "Military Base" is a military base, personal in a country for training
is not.
Nor is military personel at an embassy a "military base".
OTOH a base obstensibly for "scientific purposes" but staffed by and run
by US Military is most definitely a "military base" in my book.
