Just doing my part to keep this thing alive.
That Woot thing was very "Jittlovian" for sure.

As long as we keep posting, we'll be able to keep our
heads above water, in the river of spam.

Maybe we should move the discussion to somewhere a little more spammer-
proof. Like, a web-based forum or yahoo group or mailing list or
something where we can kick out a spammer.

Then we can spam a.f.m-j with "meet over here:" notices every week or
month.

No. Bad idea. The level of spam is not huge, and I'm not signing up for
websites, or email lists.

If we posted more often, then the spam would seem trivial.

How do we get more people to do that?

when MJ himself used to post here the number of other people posting
increased.
Also - when anyone found a Jittlov short and made it available the number
increased as well.
Oh heck - just asking people how we can get people to post more seems to
be doing it ;-)

I'm really, really jealous.

You do realize that that would also effectively exclude the very
person for whom this group exists, don't you?

You can still start a Yahoo group for fans; nothing's stopping you.
Maybe some people would be interested in joining such a group and you
can also have the fun of censoring and kicking people out that you
don't like or wish to voice opinions that you don't share.

And that, in effect, would ironically make you a spammer, wouldn't it?
