The song from Mike's brilliant stop motion short "Mouse Mania" was
jumping around in my head today, the music that was also famously used
in Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade in the seventies and
eighties, and being interested in Mike's influences I decided to do a
little digging.

Old to most of you I'm sure but new to me, it's called "Baroque
Hoedown" by Perrey and Kingsley and it's one of a number of songs they
made at the dawn of electronica that are tantalisingly Jittlovian in
their sounds and melodies.

You can find tracks from their album "The Out Sound from Way In!" on
iTunes and Amazon. These are the songs that felt to me like there was
some familiar magic at work:

The Unidentified Flying Object
The Little Man from Mars
Barnyard in Orbit
Computer in Love
The Savers
Fallout
The Minuet of the Robots
Gossippo Perpetuo
Country Rock Polka

(Baroque Hoedown is on there too)

If you're in the right mood then give them a listen and let your mind
drift... perhaps you'll catch a glimpse of short films made in a more
wizard-friendly parallel dimension...
