[those of you in alt.religion.kibology can ignore this, but I have
to cross-post it there anyway because everything about moi has to be
cross-posted there. It concerns that silly Mike Jittlov.]

Last night, a bizarre thing happened.

As I was getting out of his car (actually Bob Doyle's car, but what the hey)
Mike reached across the seat and... shook my hand.

I didn't want to shake, but felt I had to, so I did. He had a reasonably
normal handshake--not too hard or too soft, not too wet or too dry.

I don't know what brought this on. I think he's been not shaking hands
for his whole life just so he could DISTURB ME.

Do any of you people suspect he might have been Replaced? I do.

-- K.
P.S. The pain in my lower
back became neither better
nor worse as a result of
his handshake. However,
now I feel like drawing
mustaches on everything...

i think that the SFX spectacle of Starship Troopers has finally broken
his mind. i think the TV series 'The Flash' pushed him to the very
edge and Troopers was that final, last, loud, gory, senselessly
violent, totally unrepentant straw.

so. you gonna wash the hand that touched the Hand that Moved Worlds
at Super-High Speed?

Tres strange. Okay, people, let's work the problem:

Could Mike have

1) found a new antibacterial soap that works for twelve hours after you
wash?
2) developed an effective blocking technique?
3) acted on a long-held desire to seriously mess with Kibo's head?
4) acted on a long-held desire to. . .well. . .touch his Kiboness?

You decide. Better yet, let's ask Mike. Oh, Miiiiike?

I'd like to be able to pout, kvetch, or otherwise make some
comment on this event, but I'm just too shaken.

Yes, with my super powers, I can now wash my hand at Super-High Speed!
I have developed the ability to run around really really fast as as
result of touching Mike! Suddenly I have an urge to hang Joseph Bottoms
from a flimsy string while eating nothing but unflavored Ovaltine
right from the jar! Excuse me while I go inspire the next three
"Star Wars" movies by riding my bike uphill past George Lucas's house!

I'm sure it will be a 300-line ASCII diagram. It'll be loud enough
that it'll wake you up on its own.

He's probably setting up his latest computer right now... a computer
with enough processing power to let him make bigger ASCII pictures
than he's ever made before! ASCII pictures so big they could
DESTROY CIVILIZATION!!!

I'd like to beable, pout, kvetch, or otherwise make some
comment on this event, but I've LITERALLY been shaken! Ha!

You're only VIRTUALLY shaken, which means you're in an
empty room with a grid drawn on the walls! Why don't you
invite my dog Spot in to play? Then we could switch off the
holodeck while he's inside and it'd be VIRTUALLY SPOTLESS!

And every time you looked at one of your clear glass dinner plates
it would go "DING!" and make a pointy white plus sign appear in mid-air
for three frames, and the dishes would be so clean that not only could
you see yourself, you'd see your neighbors! And they'd squeak!
So would the plates!

DING! SQUEAK! DING! SQUEAK! BUZZ! FIZZ! JOLT! ORBITZ!

I don't think Trader Joe's makes anything that "works".

Maybe he became a Scientologist!

> 3) acted on a long-held desire to seriously mess with Kibo's head?

You mean sillily mess with Kibo's head. I like having my sanity threatened.

> 4) acted on a long-held desire to. . .well. . .touch his Kiboness?

It's pretty common. In the Middle Ages there was this disease called
"Kibo's X", which could only be cured by touching Kibo. The disease
became extinct because all the patients died hundreds of years before
Kibo was born. This is why the Japanese space-plane will be named
"Kibo-X"; its mission is to go out and bring Kibo's X back to Earth
so that scientists can study it in one of those secret evil underground
germ warfare labs where they always keep the monster in the center of
the room in a big, easily-shattered glass box. And there's neon all
over for the monster to smash to make sparks that go "DING!!!".

Clearly, that wasn't Mike Jittlov the filmmaker. That was
*another* Mike Jittlov; they're all over the place.

Was this perhaps the Mike Jittlov who's nine feet tall and wears
all black?
