The line, "...if you feel you have to geab a part of my body and shake it
before you can even be friendly, you have far worse problems then I have..."
is suitiable motivation, but I'm wondering if it isn't slightly fact.
By the way, does anyone know what year TWOSAT was realesed into the theaters?

He really does not shake hands. As i recall, a friend was building a
box that he could wear which would give someone a shock if they
touched him.

He really doesn't. Although I've seen a tape with him shaking hands with an
interviewer, but I guess we all have our lapses.
When Mike visited our campus last November, one of the questions we asked him
was about shaking hands. His answer was basically that he has very sensitive
nerves and that he can still "feel" a good handshake for hours afterwards,
which he finds very disturbing (which I can understand...;-)) It's almost as
if someone has "imprinted" themselves into his body.
Other explanations I've heard on the net are: his hands are very sensitive and
nearly arthritic from all the detail work involved in animation; or he really
*does* get psychic glimpses from people when he touches them.

I think it was about 1986 or 87, but it may be more recent than that. Dunno.

I just watched L.A. Story last night--weird movie--and was reminded a lot of
Jittlov. There were a lot of time-lapse shots, strange magic, and general
silliness. And most importantly, it had a lot of the same "feel" as WOSAT, in
that it was basically a story where love conquers all in the end, and leaves
you feeling very good. Has anyone else seen this film, and am I the only one
who thought of Jittlov? (there's one scene in particular that really made me
think of him).

OK, well, the line is "far wose problems that you think I have...." From
what Ive heard, no he doesnt shake hands, and the reasoning Ive heard is that
he senses Auras. (See the scene with Cindy up on the mountain.)

Presumably 89, but that is totally a guess.

1989. It was released in Boston first-run during Noreascon III,
which was 1989. It lasted in Boston about three weeks, for the
record.

Yep. We were actively organizing groups of people to go "See the Wizard!" at
the theatre, which was only a short distance from the Con. I went again a week
or so later, and we were still getting near-sellout crowds. It was great!
I recently got hold of an original copy of the full-length film by buying it
second-hand from a local video store for a good price. Original jacket and
all, and in great shape! I think I was one of three other people who'd rented
it. I wasn't about to buy one firsthand and let Shapiro glean any additional
profits...

I thought of him too. The sign is mucho Jittlov, but the TRUE Jittlovian
(call it J'ovian for short) thing I noticed was when the four people are in
bed after sex (Hero-slut, heroine-asshole matchup). Little thought balloons
come out of their heads. In the balloons are the persons being thought of.
