A paid advertisement in the Wahoo Gazette!

http://www.cbs.com/late_night/late_show/the_wahoo_gazette/

The San Francisco Bay Area is all abuzz over the return of Dave Sikula to
the stage for his performance as Lawrence Jameson in the musical version of
"Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." It's his first time back on the boards since
1997, and his first extended role on stage since '92. Today's High School
Seniors were born in 1992 . . . that's how long it's been!

Fun Fact: the plot of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", with the genders of all major
characters reversed, was filmed as "Heartbreakers"...in a way, that makes
Jennifer Love Hewitt the female Steve Martin....r

I expect to read that Dave has two broken legs tomorrow, so many
people have told him to "break a leg." He'll be laid up for a month,
in splints. I expect stellar reviews for our Jeopardy champ...

Danine and I went last night to see the final performance of Dave
Sikula's run in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". It was a great show and
Dave totally delivered on the Michael Caine(movie)/John Lithgow(stage)
role. The production rose far above its high school theater setting.

Now I wish there was already a concert band medley from that show that
I could program with the Elks Band. Very catchy songs that fit the
characers and story situations well.

Cheers to an AFLer supporting one of our own. I wish it were geographically
possible for me.

I was stunned and delighted to see the two of them there -- along with
a number of people from my past. And, if I may say so, Saturday was
our best show and best audience.
