Thanks for this classic. I don't think he was chewing the water. He
was drenching his head and letting droplets fall down his face, so he
had to find a way to get the drops from the front of his mouth to the
back of his throat so he could swallow the water. My cat Grey watched
the video with a bit of interest at first, but then, for the sake of
the dignity of cats everywhere, made a very sour face, closed his
eyes, and just prayed for the video to end the embarassment he was
feeling. I said, "Grey, he looks a lot like you. Same color, green
eyes, just like you." I think I was saying the wrong things.
I loved it. And Grey does like the water. When I take a bath, he dips
his paw in to test the temperature, and has been known to splash me or
touch a wet body part if he can reach it. It's hard to relax, but if I
close the door, he'll be meowing to be let in. Wherever I go, he goes.
Period. If he jumps in one day, I won't be at all surprised. He just
doesn't want to see it on the Internet. It's a privacy issue.
