Thursday, Nov. 26 Animal expert Jack Hanna; musical guest Shakira

Friday, Nov. 27 Actor Bill Murray; actress Gabourey Sidibe

That was a great Jack Hanna segment. I'm not surprised that it was
picked for a Thanksgiving repeat.

Unfortunately, we may not be seeing pies this year. Is that a safe
assumption?

I'd say yes, considering the family "embarrassment" this year. Btw,
I've got Shakira and Beyonce confused in my mind. Are they ever seen
together at the same time...at the same place?

I think Helen said "no pie" segment this Thanksgiving. But they're
carrying the contest on just the same, just in case Dave does it late.
Something like that. :)

Kinda like confusing Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez, but mmmkay.

I'm no Donz, but I do read what he posts and he posted earlier:
"And the first year without a current Thanksgiving show
(not counting the '07 strike) since 1988.
A 20 year tradition felled by cruel fate."

Yes, fresh Dave on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

The first week in December is traditionally dark.

I missed it. What's the deal with the repeat? Just a CBS decision?

P.S. Lyle rules.

Lyle rules indeed. I saw him on an episode of "House" and he was
fantastic. But I couldn't place him. It was a dramatic role. Then, I
saw him on Dave and recognized him. He's got quite a range as an
actor. He's really good.

Btw, I'm not buttering you up for anything by saying this. ;p

Dave latches on to talented people. I wonder if "Lyle" is from Canada,
like all the other talent around, not counting the Britishers and
Australians.

I don't really know the reason but in the monologue last night he
talked about the parade not going down Broadway this year. He said it
was fun to get the staff and their families together and watch the big
parade and then have a big Thanksgiving dinner for the staff and their
families. So I am wondering if they decided not to do a Thanksgiving
show because there would be no parade passing in front of the Ed.
That way the staff could see the parade at the location of choice and
then celebrate Thanksgiving without having to do a show with no parade
and no staff dinner.

Maybe...or it could be as Donz said -- that sweeps ends on Wednesday.

And his birthday was yesterday, Nov. 21. Should he be added to the
birthday list?

I predict he's going to be a big star. Thanks for checking, r. :)

The promos running on the CBS NFL games keep saying "all new" for the
Late Show.

They say "all new" next week...and for 3 days they are all new. I think
they slip by with not saying that "all week" they are "all new".
The 2 reruns are "all new reruns" as they have never been rerun before.
Rest assured, there are reruns for Thursday through the next week.

Alan,

I hate when you call it "fresh Dave." It sounds so cannibalistic. What
if he were tough? Would you spit out the meat?
