This is the Ball State Fighting Football Cardinals Fighting Football
Cardinals postgame show.

Ball State extended its winning streak to five games Wednesday
night, as they tore through the Ohio University defense for 588 yards in
a 52-27 win over Ohio University Wednesday night at the Dave.

After the Bobcats scored a field goal to open the scoring, Keith
Wenning connected with KeVonn Mabon on a 13-yard TD strike to put the
FFCs up 7-3. Beau Blankenship's one-yard run put the Bobcats on top
again to start the second quarter, but Wenning's 42-yard pass to Willie
Snead put Ball State back up 14-10. Another Blankenship run from two
yards out put the Bobcats up, 17-14.

Wenning was injured with what turned out to be an ankle injury. He
did not play the rest of the game. Senior Kelly Page came off the bench,
capping a drive with a seven-yard TD run to put the FFCs up 21-17. That
was the score at the half.

Blankenship got the ball and HE COULD GO ALL THE WAY! 58 yards! That
was the first score of the second half, as the Bobcats retook the lead,
24-21. Page quickly put Ball State back up with a three-yard pass to
Zane Fakes. A Steven Schott field goal from 38 yards put Ball State back
up, 31-24.

In the fourth quarter, another Bobcat field goal cut the lead to
31-27. Then it was all Ball State, Horactio Banks scored on a 23-yard TD
run, then Page threw his second TD pass to Fakes from 13 yards out, and
then Jahwan Edwards scored on a 28-yard run to close out the scoring.

Before he was hurt, Wenning went 16-for-20 for 173 yards and two
touchdowns. Page went 5-for-7 for 41 yards and two TDs. Edwards had 168
yards on 17 carries; Banks had 135 yards on 14 touches; each had a TD.
Fakes led the receivers with 58 yards on seven catches; he had two TDs.

Ball State went to 8-3 and 5-2 in the MAC. Ohio fell to 8-3 and 4-3,
respectively.

Northern Illinois clinched the MAC West title Tuesday night with a
win against Toledo, so Ball State will conclude the regular season
Friday afternoon at Miami (Ohio).
