Oh, it's not that big a deal around here. Friends of mine have eaten
roadkill rabbit (of course, they took it home, skinned and dressed it,
and cooked it in the oven). Years ago, a young couple came and knocked
on my door late at night asking to use the phone. They had just had the
fortune/misfortune (depending on your point of view) of hitting a deer,
and wanted to call the game warden for permission to bring it home.
