Senior Night at Ball STate did not go well as planned, as Dan
LeFevour threw four TDs and ran for another as Central Michigan routed
the FFCs 35-3 Tuesday night at the Dave in front of only 5,736 people.
In the first half, Lefevour threw a 10-yard pass to Bryan
Anderson, scored on an one-yard run and threw a 82-yard bomb to
Antonio Brown. A 20-yard FG by Ian McGarvey in the first half turned
out to be the only FFC score, where Ball State had first and goal on
the six yard line...and only got the three points to show from it.
LeFevour threw two more TD passes to David Blackburn in the second
half, from three and 11 yards out, and went 25-for-28 for 344 yards
before he was benched. He's now the MAC all-time leader in passing
yards with 12,000 yards, breaking Bryon Leftwich's 11,903 yards
(Marshall, 1999-2002).
Tanner Justice went 10 for 17 for 105 yards and an interception.
Cory Sykes rushed for 83 yards on ten carries to led the Ball State
rushing attack. Briggs Orsbon led the receivers with 28 yards on just
four catches.
Ball State went to 1-10 and 1-6 in the MAC. Central Michigan went
to 9-2 and 7-0 in the MAC and can clinch the MAC West title if
Northern Illinois loses to Ohio University tomorrow. THe FFCs close
out the season Tuesday night at Western Michigan.
