Wow...he has Purdue going all the way! I wish *I* could be that
optimistic.

I don't give a rat's ass about the whole March Madness, but that was
one of the most entertaining interviews with Dave I've ever seen.

Daddy's in the doghouse now. He picked Kansas State over Utah State,
but on a last-minute whim, has Belmont defeating the Cats in the
second round.

On the other hand, Dave gets extra credit for picking Purdue over KU.

In complete agreeance with Mr. Sikula.

they should have used a sharpie with a rounded point instead of the
chisel point.
the letters kept going from chunky to thin. that's about all I know
for sure about March Madness.

I agree this was one fine interview. And Foxy, I think Dave's (neat
and artsy) handwriting is on the left side of the grid (done ahead of
time), and the sloppy kid interviewer wrote the right side and filled-
in as Dave spoke.

It should be noted that the kid (Brent Stover) was writing with his
right hand whilst standing to the right of where he was writing which is
very uncomfortable but kept the board open to the camera.

It probably would've worked out better if Dave was standing on stage
left, then Brent could've written with more clarity, but these are things
done in hindsight. It seemed that Dave was going to write in the blanks
originally.

The easel was too short also for proper penmanship.

Day 1 Tally: Dave went 11 for 16. Two of his misses were by teams
(Lousville and gritty Belmont) he had going to the Sweet 16.

It probably would've worked out better if they had hired a
professional calligrapher
decked out in a flowy chiffon gown.

True, Dave can be intimidating, yet lovable at the same time. Must be
the Irish in him. :p

They don't have a chance in hell; but go team, go.
(What's a tar heel?)

About a buck-fifty an hour....

(Or should that be "two-fifty, same as in town"?...I've got punchline
interference here)....r

Fabulous basketball weekend! VCU underdogs are still alive, and
Indianapolis' Butler is going again to the Final Four. Can't wait to
hear what Dave has to say about this on Monday night.

Who cares?

There were Indy Car, NASCAR, and World Super Bike races this last
weekend, and with any luck Dave will be interviewing the winning race
driver/riders all week long!
