What a Wonderful Web We Weave
Is Dave in the market for an electric sports car? Is that why this
guy is on the show?
Maybe...how fast do his electric sports cars go?
Very excited about Ben Harper & Brian Regan!
Too soon for Regis, though.

Still, Regis is going to have a long list of jokes Dave has made about
him since he was last on.
Except everybody is already a millionaire with that money we saved by
switching to Geico.
What?
WHAT???!!
See, I'm psychic. The Tesla Motors sports car is going to be on the
show along with the CEO. From Edmonds.com:

<Tesla Model S to Appear on Late Show with David Letterman

SAN CARLOS, California — The Tesla Model S will make a high-profile
appearance on the CBS Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday
night, April 29, according to the California automaker and the talk
show's guest list.
"It will likely be the first fully drivable car to appear on Late Show
with David Letterman," according to a statement by Elon Musk, Tesla
Motors chairman, product architect and CEO. "I'll be on the show along
with the car, and I am looking forward to a lively conversation with
Dave, a fellow sports-car aficionado and Tesla fan."
Tesla noted that internal-combustion-engine cars are prohibited from
the talk show set due to environmental regulations.
The appearance by the electric automaker on the popular talk show is
yet another indication of how the company is carefully steering its
products into the popular culture. Model S deliveries are slated to
begin in 2012.
Letterman frequently centers his monologue and Top Ten List around
cars. On January 16, he took aim at Detroit automakers during the 2009
Detroit Auto Show, saying: "The auto companies are saying they've got
new products, new attitudes and they're starting a new chapter. Yeah,
Chapter 11."
In a Top Ten List to mark the recent 2009 New York Auto Show and the
firing of General Motors chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner, he griped
about the New York hot-dog vendor who wouldn't "shut up about how he
used to run General Motors."
The up-to-seven-passenger Model S sedan, which sprints from 0 to 60
mph in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph, will also be on
display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 30 at the Plaza Hotel in
Manhattan. The automaker said it will bring the Model S to Chicago,
Seattle, Miami and Washington at unspecified dates "as we prepare to
open regional sales and service centers in those locations."

Maybe...so will they let Dave drive it away?
Really? Frequently?
> Letterman frequently centers his monologue ... around
> cars.
No he doesn't.
Frequently it's about car insurance. All that money people save by switching
to Geico.
What?!
WHAT!!??
Well, Dave and Matthew Broderick now have something to talk about. He
and Sara Jessica Parker just announced they are having twin girls
through a surrogate.

<Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick to Have Twins!

It'll be a girl – and a girl! – for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew
Broderick.
The Hollywood couple, who already have son James Wilkie, 6, announced
Tuesday they're "happily anticipating the birth of their twin
daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The
entire family is overjoyed."
Broderick, 47, and Parker, 44, stepped out together Monday night in
New York at the premiere of his film Wonderful World, where the actor
gushed about his fashion-icon wife (wearing a skintight dress) of
nearly 12 years, saying, "Doesn't she look beautiful."
Twins? Lots of work, especially for a pair of busy working actors.<
Maybe...wow, pretty cool!
Just have to comment that Elon Musk is one of the more interesting
names I've come across in a long time.
Tesla Motors named in honor of Edison's electrical genius rival is
very nice. It sounds more hip than Edison Motors anyway.
Here's a very long article on Nikola Tesla, good for skimming. It
states in the article that he actually invented the radio. He sounds
like your average genius, as you will read. I found it kind of sad...

Tu 5/12: Alec Baldwin, Maya Rudolph, Chrisette Michele
We 5/13: Wynton Marsalis

Well, at least Baldwin's finally back on,
but they bumped Jack McBrayer and haven't rescheduled....
I seriously doubt McBrayer is unavailable....
so what is the LS waiting for?
They discovered he wasn't *really* a racecar driver....r

Schreiber was on "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" this weekend, and thanked them for
pronouncing his first name correctly (it's two syllables: "LEE-ev")...he says
the worst thing for an actor is to go to an audition and the first thing they
say to you is "leave"....

If it's on the Internet it *has* to be true.
That HAD to be intentional. Some poor Brooklyn-based band probably had their
