I suspect that Mozilla Thunderbird uses a monospace font like Courier for
composing messages. However, many of us use newsreaders that use
proportional fonts, so the horizontal spacing gets all screwed up when
you're trying to present data. Here are your data presented in a different
way that should look OK for most of us.

Thank you! That makes a whole lot more sense.
Maybe...happier!
Just keep in mind that the percentages are being used for two entirely
different things here.
The percentages for items 1 through 5 are the percentage of replies that
selected 1, 2, etc. The percentage after the average score is the
average score (out of 5) converted to a percent (which I don't think is
all that useful).
Also, keep in mind that this is an unscientific survey, and the results
should not be construed to represent the views of AFLers in general (let
alone LS viewers in general).

See, it took someone with a Master of Science in Mathematics to
explain this to us because Crash totally didn't do it and the format
used to present the results was even more confusing.
Maybe...thank you Helen!
You do know I'm not getting paid for this, right?

"Did you ever once show me any kind of friendship?
Ask my help with a personal problem?
Include me in one of your little bull sessions?
Can you imagine what it feels like to walk by this tent
and hear you laughing and know... that I'm not welcome?
Did you ever once offer me a lousy cup of coffee?"

Yes, but you voluntarily put up the survey so you should voluntarily
make the results understandable.

If someone asked nicely I would happy to....
so far no one has done that.
Much better. Thanks.
I want to add my thanks, too, Jeff. You'd be a great teacher...I sense
patience there. Are you a professor or something?

Many moons ago, when I was in high school, I thought I wanted to be an
English teacher. Then I discovered psychology, got my degree, and have been
practicing as a clinical psychologist for the past 20+ years. The hospital
where I work has an internship for clinical psychologists, so I still get to
do some teaching in addition to my clinical and administrative practice.

And you're much better position to help those people who were hopelessly warped
by having to diagram sentences....r

What good is being an executive if you never get to execute anyone?
