<Adam Lambert To Appear On Late Show With David Letterman

Glam rocker Adam Lambert has been scheduled to appear on Late Show
With David Letterman as part of some upcoming appearances to promote
the new post-American Idol CD For Your Entertainment. Lambert will
appear on the televised show on Nov. 25, but will pre-record his
performance at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Nov. 23. The CD is also
scheduled for release on Nov. 23.

Adam Lambert Promotional Schedule:

Nov. 22 - American Music Awards (livestream at ABC.com)
Nov. 23 - For Your Entertainment released
Nov. 23 - Late Show With David Letterman taping
Nov. 25 - Good Morning America
Nov. 25 Television broadcast of Late Show With David Letterman
Dec. 1 - Ellen<

So why is the show being taped on Monday and being aired on
Wednesday? Are they not going to have a Friday show the day after
Thanksgiving? Is that the usual schedule? I thought LS did something
on Thurs & Friday -- are the shows reruns?

Maybe...just wondering!

I looked back over the last four years. The show has been airing a new
episode on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Maybe this is being done to accommodate the rocker's schedule somehow.
This is quite irregular.

Look at this list of pies, which equals new episodes on Thanksgiving
for almost every recent year. (Thanks to Michael Z. McIntee.)

from the 11/27/08 Wahoo Gazette:

MOM’S PIES -- THIS IS THE 15TH YEAR
2007 -- NO PIES -- WRITERS STRIKE
2006 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. APPLE
2005 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. BLUEBERRY
2004 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. CHOCOLATE CHIFFON
2003 -- 1. APPLE -- 2. PECAN
2002 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. RASPBERRY
2001 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. LEMON CHIFFON
2000 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. APPLE
1999 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. RED RASPBERRY CHIFFON
1998 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. RHUBARB
1997 -- 1. CHERRY -- 2. COCONUT BUTTERSCOTCH PECAN
1996 -- 1. CHERRY -- 2. HICKORY NUT
1995 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. CHERRY
1994 -- 1. PUMPKIN -- 2. TWO CHERRY PIES
1993 -- 1. (only one pie in 1993) ORANGE PUMPKIN PIE WITH WHIPPED
CREAM AND HICKORY NUTS

In 2008 there was a peanut butter pie, a pecan pie and a pizza pie.

I know! That's what I thought, very irregular. We always have a new
Thanksgiving Thursday and then new Friday show the day after. I
remember the pies every year, Dave's mom, Dave dressed as the Pilgrim
year after year, the staff eating, etc.

Maybe...that's why I asked!

Perhaps they are just taping his performance only on the 23rd, to be
inserted into the show on the 25th.

Does anyone (Donz?) know if the Thanksgiving show itself is going to be
taped earlier in the week? This is important information for setting the
deadline for entries in the Pie Contest.

The Thanksgiving show has been same-day broadcast for the last since
