I found the concert to be below average and her brother was a much
better musical conductor in my opinion (compared to her 2004 concert
in Hawaii)
Also the two Filipino songs she sang tend to isolate her fans who
don't know the language (at least subtitles in the background or even
a small program for the translation???)
As for the autograph signing??? Crazy....we were told this is where
you get it signed (the workers pointing to a mob scene next to the
entrance plus the A/C was broken...poor Lea). Poorly organized (worst
then last time).
What the show needs? A Great Story Line & Honolulu Symphony at the
Waikiki Shell. Broadway & Disney didn't cut it. All of her signature
pieces were great but we need more surpises....plus some of her own
pieces were too loud and lost the clarity her voice is known for. Any
musical intrumental/singer goin' to be part of the band in the future?
Kind of a yucko review but I still think Lea is still a wonderful gift
to the world. When her concerts turn truly magical there will be no
stopping her.
