Hello all '95 Disco 1. For background, let me explain some of the problems this vehicle has always (as long as I have owned it) with the doors and locks. 1) passenger door will not open from either outside or inside unless: 1 you pull up on the lock button and hold it there while operating the inside handle, or, 2 you insert the key and hold it in the unlock... more »

Imobiliser key fob intermitent problem

My 2002 td5 key fob refuses to unlock the car every now and again. The only way to get it to work is by restting the code by useing the key in the lock method as per handbook instruction.. This seems to work so far . I am afraid it will let me down all together one day. Useing the key to open the door just sets of the alarm.... more »

According to my (1998) handbook "DO NOT use snowchains - they may damage the vehicle". Official 2007 Defender accessories - snowchains available and can be fitted front and rear. So what changed?

Key Fob Frequency...???

Dear Landrover Owners. I am trying to get a repacement "car key"...the Brisbane dealer here in Oz has quoted $252.00 for the fob + $70.00 for the programming. Pigs arse...!!! I know there are cheaper generics but no-one can seem to get the frequency right. Landrover has quoted (they think) a frequency of 315 mhz.... more »

If anyone chances on a disco I V8 in really good nick going cheap (not too bothered about year) then I might be interested. Current (K-plate) one has terminal rear-floor-rot, which can of course be fixed, but it's also got rusted and leaking petrol lines (which will be a pain to fix), albeit easier if the rear floor's removed.... more »

Hi I have a 96 300tdi defender that i'm trying to get through an mot :-( When i attempt to sound the horn the 20A fuse blows. If I disconnect the horn, activating the horn button still blows the fuse. According to the manual, the same fuse supplies the dashboard clock, strangely this continues to run-but slowly. I appear to have about 4.5V at... more »

HELP!-Fuel Gauge stopped working.

The petrol gauge on my V8 D1 stopped working today, suddenly dropped from 1/4 full to empty and won't rise. Any ideas where I start looking for the fault. I was on an off road day so the car was getting a good workout at the time.
