Where can I get a bulkhead for a 109 Series One.
Or plans to fabricate a new one.
Oh. And a front grill.
Thanks

Series one went to 109 wheelbase in 1956 if I remember rightly (except for
station wagon) for the new diesel engine.

Yes, same time as the 86" SWB went to 88". For an original bulkhead try
WW spares: Email wwsp...@aol.com or for a new galvanised one try Carl or
Dale Radford on 01346 531062.

You're right - autumn '56, though the "looks like it's made of meccano"
107-inch station wagon seems to have continued for a bit after the
109-incher became available.

The station wagon continued at 107 inches until the Series 2 came out as the
Series 1 chassis for the wagon was different from the other models. The
Series 2 chassis was designed to suit all models. As a result, the diesel
was never available for the Series 1 wagon, as it was for its benefit that
the 2" was added (useful of course for the 2.25 OHV petrol engine based on
the diesel when it came shortly after the Series 2 was introduced.

There is a chap in Wales makes bulkheads for S1's. He advertises in the LR
Mags, logo is a red dragon.

Bit pricey, but the market is not very big and there are not many players.
He can galvanise too, so you won't ever need to replace it.
