thought it was very much LFNish... I was pleasantly surprised to read that
other actually liked the eps too including the last scene. I'm prob going to
jump between the two eps in my musings here and I apologize in advance ..

have... LOL Yeah I do actually have a few!!
I have had the chance to view them again and nothing has changed.I can't
remember who said it now but they mentioned the time away from Section when
Nikita and Michael were on the boat was a gift to Michael . I agree with
that but I also think it was a gift to herself. there were a few scenes, one
at the beach and again on the boat where Nikita looked kind of wistful
because she knew that it couldn't last. I have never disputed the fact that
she loves Michael and again in my opinion... even though others vehemently
disagree with me... LOL that had she shown any emotion at all during the end
scene once he walked away from her that she would have broken down. I think
she was trying very hard to keep her emotions in check. if that makes her a
cold hearted bitch... so be it. But I know myself from my own personal
experiences... I have often kept the so called stiff upper lip in an
emotional situation. To do anything else.. is to lose it completely.
I was in a chat last night and a lot of ppl were wondering why she would
give cancellation orders for Michael. Well again in my opinion ... how else
would she be able to get him out?? This presented her with the best way to
do it. Others asked why Michael gave the field router back... Well from
UTRH we saw that they couldn't track him.. so to my way of thinking he no
longer had the tracker in him so he couldn't be tracked. I think she brought
it along as insurance but I think other than Nikita NO ONE knew he had
survived the blast so why would they be looking for him. Does she love him??
Oh yeah.. sure she does and that is why she got him out using that abeyance
mission. If you love something set it free... the fact too that she
couldn't look at him when she told him she didn't love him spoke volumes
too.
As for Madeline... I was glad to see that they gave her a way of coming
back. We saw in MR that she was capable of making herself flatline and by
taking the course of action that she chose... the pill... rather than
something that Nikita or Mr. Jones may have done to her gave her an out. I
loved her line to Nikita... calling her an "ad hoc internal affairs bimbo"
That was priceless. Maddy liked to be in control and in choosing this way to
do .. she kept it.
Operations... besides the fact that I absolutely adore that man.. he was
superb as well in this episode. The kiss he gave to Maddy as they wheeled
her out.. how priceless was that. I do know that it was something that was
not in the script and was a gift from Gene to his fans. I loved the scene
between he and Nikita at the playground. For him another 7 years in Section
won't be easy when he had his sights set on Oversight.
Michael... well the man does look pretty good in blue jeans. I loved the
scene on the beach. I think a lot of that was Roy coming out. they both
looked so relaxed and looked as though they were really enjoying themselves
and the way he was when the fire was going.. like.. look at me.. I did it. I
would love to know what he was reading to her. The scene between him and
Nikita during the evaluation was so charged with emotion. After all that he
still admited that he did a lot of things for her sake than section. You
could hear the tears in his voice.
Walter... the man had me in tears... Like I said.. they all did such a
superb job of acting in these episodes. He made it so real in his reaction
to Nikita's impending death. then during the evaluation scene where he wants
to dislike her but can't... I loved the way he was able to tell her in words
that he loved her and the fact that Nikita told him she loved him too. I
think his protest about going to the farm was a token one. I am sure though
that we will definitely see him back at Section in the new season.
Okay... one of the things that bothered me was the timeline about when she
was recruited. I think she may have been approached originally when she was
out for those 6 months but as to when she actually "joined" them... I think
it was after the Jurgen arc.. they used her one too many times in her book
to get something for Section. I personally think this makes more sense than
when she was actually out.
As for Mick being Mr. Jones... it works for me to a point but I also wonder
if there isn't someone else who is above him. Why show himself now when all
this time he has remained anonymous?? It makes you wonder. I don't think it
is Michael though as some have speculated.
So overall I loved these eps.. I have never really been one to pick apart
each and every one looking for plotholes. Oh yeah.. they do exist.. I will
admit that but I tend to put on my rose colored glasses when it comes to
them. I enjoy watching the show for the actors and for the entertainment
value. It's the only show I watched faithfully since I started watching it.
No other show has come close for me.
Well these are my thoughts off the top of my head right now!! LOL
Am I glad we are getting a 5th season albeit a short one?? Yes I am although
I would have been satisfied if this had been the end too.
