here are some poems
some of us barely drag ourselves to face/
the daily round of despair and disgrace./
we learned as kids we would fail, we would never build a life./
We would live on the street, reaping misery and strife./
we did our best, we tried, we groaned and toiled and wept/
yet the world ignored us, while we screamed, it rolled over and slept./
we will never forget those who mocked us, those who did us wrong/
we will have the last laugh, they will know before very long.
my friends let us not fear the reaper who always comes/the reaper
gives us mercy that we all deserve/some of us
live in pain in howling wretched slums/trapped by our own failings,
wrecked life's cruel curve/sometimes we
weary of the burdens that we all must bear/we must embrace the end if
it delivers painless relief/a noose or
bullet or razor can be most kind and fair/it will free us forever, while
others endure the grief.
