I'm glad everyone liked it - it didn't take me very long.
Just a few pages of HTML and a watch of the video to get the lyrics -
that was it.
I got the words and the stills from the Video 'John Denver A Portrait'.
Very beautiful videos and excellent songs aswell.
I'm afraid I'm very limited in the pictures I put on the site as I've
only got the one video to use and my TV card is my brothers and he's off
to University in a few weeks so he'll want it back.
I thought the second line of 'Let Us Begin' was a bit strange, but the
video isn't so good with the lyrics.
Thanks for the help aswell as the Calypso.
I'll try and add 'They Were Flying For Me' there aswell.
It really is only a site to promote world peace (I'll tell you more
later) but I can add any songs if someone's got pictures.
Does anyone?
Just wondering about 'Let Us Begin' and what effect is has on people, it
had a very large effect on me. Anyway I posted it to the war, weapons
and generally violence newsgroups and see what replies I got.
Nothing accept laughs and jokes about JD flying while drunk.
Not much at all.
Anyway, if you are easily bored by people opening their hearts then do
not read on - you have been warned.
Ever since I came back from the Philippines (I was there for a month in
May on my own) I've felt that the world in which we live is failing us.
If we don't do something to make it a better place we will lose it
forever.
I can't really point you to anything in particular coz I just don't know
but ever since then I've wanted to try and make the world a better
place.
I don't know what I can do to change the world we live, or if indeed it
can be done but I want to do something.
This is where JD comes in. What he was trying to do with his music and
his talent - I wish to try and continue that.
Plant It - 2000, World Wildlife Fund etc.
Also, I'm saving to travel back to the Philippines next year to see all
the people I ,et last time and to try and teach volleyball to homeless
children.
Not with a charity, but to just get on a plane with my luggage and a
volleyball.
No charities actually work with the homeless one to one but I want to
help.
I've sold everything I own, my motorbike, my TV, my video, my furniture.
All I have to my name now is a bed, a computer and a wardrobe and a
chest of drawers and clothes - nothing else.
Now I've never said that to anyone before and I hope I've not bored you
too much but I feel I had to get it off my chest and see what the people
of the world thought about it?
And........................
