What's with those geeky guys? As a rule, spokespeople should be
likable. I don't care for annoying. But at least we get to hear
"Sunshine On My Shoulders."
It's a cute moment in the commercial. But didn't anyone
remember that John did spots for Post Raisin Bran? We got to hear him
do a Disney song. I won't attempt to spell it.
What other products did he plug? All I can recall is a PSA, and
that Heartland collection. Fortunately, we didn't get his versions of
"Release Me" and "Makin' Believe." Those songs, along with Hank
Williams tunes, often turned up on those albums. Maybe they owned the
copyrights.

Sincerely,
Darren Thornton

Hi,Darren.
According to James M Martin's book,"Rocky Mountain Wonderboy" John did a
commerical for a bank on the early seventies, whose motto was "How May We
Help You Today?"-maybe some older JD fans know which bank that was.I think
he may have also done some spots for the makers of his glasses, but I'm not
sure.

The cereal commerical is annoying, but does allow JD's music to be
heard if ever so briefly. A lot better than the teen horror flick
"Final Destination" where every time you heard JD's music, someone
died a horrible death.

The most enjoyable commercial has to be when the folks in the bar sing
"RMH" on a cold winter's night. I believe it was for Coors.

It's nice to hear John Denver's song on this TV comercial, when it comes
on! A reminder of him!
