James bond poster artwork

Can any pleas help me out with something.

There is ONE thing that is irritating me like hell about the latest DVD
& VHS James Bond releases.

When you go to the cimema to watch the latest james bond then first
before you go inside there you stand
and watch the post beutiful artwork for the film (poster).

And after some months of waiting then it finaly get's out on dvd, vhs,
laser but when now they have scraped the
wounderful artwork that they are using in the cinemas with a montage
from the film.

Can somebody come up with some sort of clever answer why they do this,
to me this most be 'mad-man work'.
I prefer to have the artwork that they are using in the cinemas, THANK
YOU!!.

But there is also a diffrence on diffrent formats, this exampel is for
Tommorow never dies.

Vhs - Awfull montage from the film
DVD - Also a montage here
CD Audio - Here they are using the orginal artwork and not a montage.

If they can do it on cd audio so why in hell can they do it on atleast
DVD.

Well have also a look at the latest James Bond releases on dvd (Dr No,
>From Russia...., Golfinger) all of these Warner Brothers (MGM) as used
another awfull montage. WHY. ????

So if somebody out there have a usfull answer why they use this then
pleas get intouch with me.

I actually miss the "traditional" Bond cinema poster. The current poster
designs may not be as poor as the TLD and LTK ones, but I still find
them rather prosaic.

I agree with you. I like the original poster art on the video releases. MGM did
issue one set, before the current set, which used original poster art. Also,
the LaserDisc of TND uses the original poster (unlike the DVD and video).
